The hockey Gods give and take when it comes to the Colorado Avalanche and injuries. Could Gabe Landeskog go unprotected in the expansion draft?
The Avalanche and injuries go together like peanut butter and jelly. We found out a lot about their recent struggles with injured players from Coach Bednar yesterday and it was good and bad. Mikko Rantanen, Philipp Grubauer and Joonas Donskoi are all expected back on Friday. However, both Bowen Byram and Logan O'Connor had set backs in their return and both are expected to continue to miss time. O'Connor possible much longer. Thus is the life of the Avalanche.
Gabriel Landeskog is an unrestricted free agent after this season, and it is well known he doesn't want to play anywhere else but for the Avs. Could the Avalanche use this to not protect their captain in an effort to protect another player knowing the Kraken wouldn't likely take a free agent that would be difficult for them to sign?
The Avs also continue to sign their future as 2020 1st round pick, Justin Barron, signed his ELC. Tune in and subscribe!
