Getting media interviews is one of the FASTEST and easiest ways to
Build Your Brand & Create a Massive Impact.

Gain Influence as thee Go-to Expert and Become A

    Leader in Your Industry.

Imagine what getting National Publicity can do for your business...

What would your life be like, if suddenly you went from best-kept secret to well known Author, and an Authority and Leader in your industry?

Hi, I'm Irene, after 22 years (now 27) of working in sales and marketing (from being a Marketing Consultant at the #1 Hit Music Station *my real-life Mad Men days* to 9 years as a successful Realtor with one of the top Real Estate Firms)...

...I knew there was more that I was meant to do with my life.

That's what Podcast Power is all about.

It's about creating the lifestyle you've always dreamed of...

Whether you've never been interviewed in the media before or you're a seasoned pro, this system can work for you.

That's why I'm sharing my *best* secrets for landing media interviews fast.

So you can make the most out of your life...

Getting interviewed on Podcasts is one of the BEST ways to build your email list (as they say, "The money's in your email list").

You can easily land new high-paying clients, drive massive traffic to your website, to promote your books, sell-out your courses, fill your Masterminds, and sell your high-ticket services.

You see, once I started getting interviewed as the go-to expert and leading authority (even with my side hustles) it became easy to get booked on more and more shows.

I was getting booked on big shows up to 6 months in advance. Then people started reaching out to me, asking me to be a guest on their shows.

Then you will be able to pick and choose, which shows you want to be featured on, which clients you want to work with and have more control over your time.

E87 - A New Podcast Network Idea to Help You Start Your Podcast and Conquer Podfade

Hey, I am toying with the idea of creating a podcast network for new podcasters to help you get past the 7 to 10 hump where many new podcasters seem to walk away from their new show or podcasting altogether.

Here are the early plans, by joining our podcast network, I will work with you in setting up your podcast by

    - guiding you through recording your early episodes

    - help you with naming your show and your episodes to be SEO friendly

    - set up your Podcast Website via your own domain or with your RSS Feed

    - help answer your tech and recording questions

    - get you set up to hit record

    - expose your new podcast to my network of 7 shows with over 65,000 active listens, and 600 episodes in 193 countries

    - a private networking opportunity with other podcasters just like you on the network via zoom

    - one on one coaching

    - all for a nominal fee to keep you committed to growing your show

My question for you in the early stages of planning this is what am I missing? What else are you looking for?

Head over to HowToPodcast.ca and leave me an email or voice message and let me know what is missing and if you are interested in this new opportunity

    Thanks, now go podcast!

E86 - Six Items That You Should Consider Getting When Starting Your Podcast - The Podcast Owner's Manual Mini Series

Here is a list of basic gear that you'll need to record a podcast:

    1. A usb microphone: A good quality usb microphone is essential for producing high-quality audio. There are many different types of microphones to choose from, including dynamic microphones, condenser microphones, and USB microphones.

    2. Headphones: Wired Headphones are essential for monitoring your audio during recording and editing. Choose a pair that is comfortable and has good sound quality.

    3. A recording device: You'll need a device to capture your audio, such as a computer with recording software or a digital recorder. I use a Windows PC and the free Digital Audio Workstation (D.A.W.) Audacity.

    4. A pop filter: A pop filter is a device that attaches to your microphone and helps to reduce popping sounds caused by hard consonants, such as "p" and "b." This can help improve the overall audio quality of your podcast.

    5. A microphone stand: A microphone stand can help to position your microphone at the right height and distance from your mouth. I like the standard on stage mic stand that you will see at any concert. I personally do not like to have my microphone stand bolted to my desk - I prefer a stand alone mic stand for my set up.

    6. Cables: You'll need cables to connect your microphone to your recording device if you choose to not use a usb mic.

    7. This is the basic gear that you'll need to get started with recording a podcast. You may want to consider adding additional equipment, such as a mixer or additional microphones, as your podcast grows.

      13. E83 - The Co-Host Conundrum - Navigating Roles and Responsibilities in Podcasting

E83 - The Co-Host Conundrum - Navigating Roles and Responsibilities in Podcasting

When planning a new podcast, it's important to have a clear discussion with your co-hosts and/or producer about a range of topics that will impact the success of your podcast. Here are some key things to discuss:

        1. Delegation of tasks: It's important to have a clear understanding of who will be responsible for what tasks related to the podcast. This might include research, booking guests, writing scripts, recording, editing, promoting on social media, and managing the website. Make sure everyone knows what is expected of them, and ensure that tasks are delegated based on individual strengths and skills.

        2. Monetization: Decide how you plan to make money from the podcast. Will you run ads? Will you offer sponsorships? Will you charge for premium content? Make sure everyone is on the same page regarding the monetization strategy, and discuss how any revenue will be split among the co-hosts.

        3. Splitting costs: Determine how you will split the costs of producing the podcast, including equipment, hosting fees, and any other expenses. Will everyone contribute an equal amount, or will costs be divided based on individual responsibilities?

        4. Social media: Discuss how you plan to promote the podcast on social media, and decide who will be responsible for creating and managing social media accounts. Consider creating a content calendar and scheduling posts in advance to ensure consistent promotion.

        5. Website: Determine who will be responsible for creating and managing the podcast's website. This might include designing the site, posting episodes, and managing any online communities related to the podcast.

        6. Editing: Decide who will be responsible for editing each episode, and discuss any specific editing requirements or styles that should be used. Consider using a shared cloud-based storage solution, like Dropbox, to keep audio files organized and accessible.

        7. Responsibilities for each co-host: Make sure everyone understands their individual responsibilities and commitments, including recording schedules, deadlines, and any other expectations. This will help ensure that everyone is on the same page and that the podcast runs smoothly.

        8. In summary, when planning a new podcast, it's crucial to have an open discussion with your co-hosts or producer about key topics such as task delegation, monetization, splitting costs, social media, website management, editing, and individual responsibilities. Having a clear understanding of each person's role and expectations can help ensure the success of your podcast.

E82 - Leveraging Toastmasters to Help New Podcasters and How To Stay Motivated with Guest CO-HOST - Debbie Williams

My name is Debbie Williams, I have been a member of toastmasters since May 2017 and I enjoy the art of storytelling. The podcast came about due in part by others requesting that I start one, and the fact that my daughter bought me a microphone for my birthday in May 2020.  I mean, it was lock-down, what else was I going to do!

Stories have always been a way to communicate, and parables have always been used to help us understand real life. Before people learned how to write, they would tell each other stories, those stories were our history books. Sometimes we may underestimate the power we have with our speaking voice. We all have a story that somebody else wants to hear.  We all have it within us to inform, educate, and inspire others.

I’m known to frequent the gym, go for runs, swim, cycle and I’ve completed 12 spartan races to date.  I’m also known for my banana cake and the fact that I’m not so great at making other flavours!

Debbie Williams is the creator and host of the one-of-a-kind storytelling podcast featured.

Created in 2020, each episode is designed to delve into stories from Debbie’s past in a unique way with real emotions and feelings. Delving into the latest big topics including mental health, BLM, and of course Covid-19.

You’ll also get light relief with Debbie’s humour and wit which shines through the microphone as she transports you into a bit of escapism for around 10 mins, which let’s face it – we could all do with at times.

          We talk about how

          - Toastmasters helped Debbie go from nervous first-time Toastmaster attendee to leadership within the Toastmaster Community,

          - How to stay motivated as a podcaster
