Consumers no longer trust traditional advertising, as evidenced by the 600M devices in the world with ad blockers. So, how DO customers want to relate to businesses now? How can we break down the barriers between companies and consumers? And what does a human-centered marketing model look like?
Mark Schaefer is the globally-recognized author, speaker and business consultant behind Businesses Grow, one of the top five marketing blogs in the world. Mark's client roster includes Pfizer, Cisco, Dell, Adidas, and the US Air Force, and his work has appeared on CNN, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, among many other media outlets. Mark has written eight bestselling books, and his latest release, Marketing Rebellion: The Most Human Company Wins, hit the top spot on Amazon in the Advertising and Marketing categories.
On this episode, Mark describes the changing role of the marketer, explaining why we must create shareable content and experiences that customers are keen to share. He discusses how we can use technology for good to reduce the barriers between businesses and consumers, introducing us to the idea of helping our customers feel like they belong. Listen in to understand why entrepreneurs are better suited to navigate this changing world than big companies and learn how to join the rebellion for yourself—and market your business in a new way!
In this episode you'll learn about the Marketing Rebellion as well as…

Today I want to talk about Fair Pricing. Fair pricing is essential for us Gentle Marketers. I think it's fair to say that fairness (pun intended) is one of our core values.
Growing up, my dad fought for fairness for the working class. So yes, fairness is super important to me on a personal level. But I'm ready to bet that you feel the same. And, not only do we want to be treated fairly, we also want to treat others fairly. For that to happen, we need to come from a place of empathy. It is essential to be able to put ourselves into the other's shoes.

Today I want to share with you an exercise that I'm facilitating in the 3rd module of The Gentle Marketing Revolution. It represents the 3rd P of the Mandala for Gentle Marketing, and it's in the P for People module. One of the major differences between the gentle marketing approach and traditional/hype marketing is that we lead with empathy instead of pain. It's a switch from the negative to the positive.

On this episode, Nina shares her own struggle with confidence, explaining why it's crucial to identify the root cause of feeling not-good-enough. Welcome to episode #9 of the Gentle Business Revolution podcast, the show where we talk about marketing your business by disrupting the current marketing paradigm. If you are a heart-centered entrepreneur who feels anxiety around marketing your business or you are tired of the traditional marketing model, you're in the right place!
In today's episode, we will spend some time talking about one of the quotes and books that led me to create The Gentle Marketing Revolution Program. It's from Daniel H. Pink's book called A Whole New Mind. In it Pink says, "We've progressed from a society of farmers to a society of factory workers to a society of knowledge workers. And now we're progressing yet again – to a society of creators & empathizers, of pattern recognizers & meaning makers."
Wow! That resonates with me on so many levels.

Welcome to episode #8 of the Gentle Business Revolution podcast, the show where we talk about marketing your business by disrupting the current marketing paradigm. If you are a heart-centered entrepreneur who feels anxiety around marketing your business or you are tired of the traditional marketing model, you're in the right place!
In today's episode, I'm covering the last P of the Mandala for Conscious Marketing. This P stands for Partnership. You know, I wasted many years going about my business on my own, becoming more and more isolated, until I realized the value of collaboration.
I'm not talking about adding a business partner which, while having its advantages, also comes with inconveniences. When I talk about partners, I'm referring to one of these five types: Peers, Partners (also called Joint Venture partners), Mentors & Coaches, Community, and Team Members. Today, let's consider the value of peer partnerships.
