  • How To Train Your Brain For Success

My guest today is a master on how to train your brain for success. After growing her own business from zero to a million dollars a year in under 19 months, Dana Wilde now teaches others how to do the same. With nearly 100,000 followers in 68 countries, Dana is the bestselling author of Train Your Brain and featured in the movies, The Abundance Factor and True Prosperity. Fascinated by neuroscience and the power of the mind, she affects lives daily on The Mind Aware Show, where she interviews thought leaders, brain scientists, and celebrities about how to intentionally think wealthier, happier, and healthier thoughts.

I loved Dana's work because it is based on scientific research. I've always struggled to believe in the law of attraction but I firmly believe in the power of mindset. Dana's work, as you will hear in the episode, is based different from the law of attraction but just as powerful and effective.

I hope this episode inspires you to become more aware of your thoughts throughout the day and how you can start to make shifts with Dana's simple strategies.

In this episode you'll learn about how to train your brain for success as well as…
    • The difference between the conscious and unconscious mind
    • How training your brain is different than the law of attraction
    • The 3 ways you can make a change
    • What a mantra is
    • The secret superpower the word "but" has

  • Do you ever suffer from Comparitis?

Welcome to episode #26 of the Gentle Business Revolution podcast, the show where we talk about marketing your business by disrupting the current marketing paradigm. If you are a heart-centered entrepreneur who feels anxiety around marketing your business or you are tired of the traditional marketing model, you're in the right place!

Welcome to Season 4! As always I have very exciting episodes coming up. In today's episode, we are talking about the idea of having enough. Even though we use enough as a common way of describing how much we earn, need or have, we don't stop to consider that enough might be different for all of us.

This episode was inspired by my current read, "Company of One" by Paul Jarvis. Reading this book has made me reflect on what my definition of enough is right now. It also made me reflect on times when I've caught myself comparing my enough to other people's enough.

It has been a really insightful read and I hope this podcast gets you interested in learning more about it.

In this episode you'll learn about what enough means and…
    • Why the definition of enough is different for everyone
    • The two camps that Paul Jarvis discusses in his book: enough and pre-enough
    • How I got over my comparitis

I'm back with another book update! In my last "behind the book" update, I shared my structure. Rather than reading one of the chapters, I thought I'd share a bit about what goes on in my head through the process of writing this book.

In this episode you'll learn  …
    • Why I'm writing this book (hint: it's not for me!)
    • The questions I ask myself now that I'm halfway through the book
    • How I struggle with sharing personal stories

  • Designing a Launch You LOVE, introvert friendly! - with Jenny Blake

If setting revenue targets gives you anxiety about launching something new, you are not alone. When we put pressure on ourselves to hit a specific number by the end of a launch, we tend to forget about the people involved. So, what if we reframed the way we thought about marketing a launch? What if we focused on attracting the community we genuinely want to spend time with? What if we played to our strengths to design a launch experience we could LOVE?

  • When is it time to hire a Business Coach?

Welcome to episode #23 of the Gentle Business Revolution podcast, the show where we talk about marketing your business by disrupting the current marketing paradigm. If you are a heart-centered entrepreneur who feels anxiety around marketing your business or you are tired of the traditional marketing model, you're in the right place!

Today I'd like to talk about mentors and coaches. If there's one thing I would do differently if I started over, I would be working with a coach earlier on in my business. I waited too long. I thought I couldn't afford it. So I bootstrapped for many years, making all the mistakes. I don't regret making the mistakes, it has definitely helped me become a better coach, but I do think my journey would have been much easier and less alone.

  • Heart-Centered Marketing Copy with Tad Hargrave

The traditional marketing model is built on the idea that aggressive sales methods generate instant results. And they do, in a way. But have you ever wondered what happens the next day, once the consumer realizes they were manipulated into the sale? Is there a better way to market a business that takes longer up front—but doesn't require endless hustle to replace the customers you've turned off?

Tad Hargrave is the creator of Marketing for Hippies, a platform that helps conscious entrepreneurs and green businesses grow their organizations without selling their souls. Early in his career, Tad learned and applied some very inauthentic, high-pressure marketing tactics that made him feel slimy. And then he spent a decade unlearning the pushy approach and developing the refreshing and unorthodox marketing strategies he shares today in workshops all over Canada.
