We all know how quickly the world changed from there, and what has happened since then. Today, we're hoping for good news as we expect fans may be able to attend outdoor events in the future. This isn't over, but hopefully we're moving in the right direction. Gary Parrish remembers exactly where he was one year ago today. He tells his story, plus a look at present-day college basketball and how the virus is impacting it, and an explanation of a weird tournament rule this year that has the potential to cause all kinds of chaos. What happens if a tournament team is unable to play because of COVID? Leon Draisaitl gets his fourth career hat trick in a five point night as the Oilers crush the Senators 7-1. Governor Inslee holds a press conference and we cover it live as we find out that fans will be allowed to attend outdoor sporting events, including 9,000 fans on Opening Day at T-Mobile Park.     The deal that will bring NHL games to ESPN, ABC, etc. has been made official. What we are still trying to figure out is, will ESPN have priority over local broadcasts, and does that include their streaming services? Ian is tired of the old NHL on ESPN theme.     A letter recently sent to Seahawks season ticket holders by the team listed a number of reasons to get excited about the upcoming season, but failed to mention Seattle's star quarterback. A lot is being made of the snub, but is it really that big of a deal? The team's other future Hall-of-Famer Bobby Wagner wasn't mentioned either and that doesn't seem to be bothering anyone. Maybe we should all just calm down. Breaking news: The NHL has signed a seven-year broadcast deal with ESPN. Like it or not, the TV network still matters in the sports world, and this is huge for the league and the sport of hockey. Good news in the world of basketball, former Seattle Storm star Lauren Jackson has been named a finalist for the Basketball Hall of Fame. The bad basketball news: Meyers Leonard appeared to use an anti-Semitic slur during a Twitch stream. Texts grade the show by texting 49451. Softy drops in before the afternoon show.

On the Power Play, highlights from around the NHL on Sunday, and in honor of International Women's Day, Sportsnet released the names of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Hockey. Even before the Kraken have dropped a puck, drafted players, or even hired a coach, they've employed several women who made the list. Today's Something Good: The CDC says fully vaccinated adults can now spend time with other fully-vaccinated adults, as well as low-risk individuals. It opens the door for many to see their children and grandchildren for the first time in a year. Hopefully we're one step closer to getting out of this.
