The Seahawks’ roster may look mostly set, but their salary cap plan is just getting interesting.

Tonight I’m joined by cap analyst Curtis Allen for a full Seahawks salary cap update. We’ll break down how much space Seattle currently has, how much flexibility they can realistically create, and what it all means for the two biggest contract situations on the roster: Devon Witherspoon and Leonard Williams.

What could those extensions look like? When could they happen? And how aggressive can Seattle still be while planning for both?

Plus, we’ll touch on one more thing: the Seahawks may not be completely done looking for pass-rush help. Something could still be quietly brewing.

BREAKING: The Seattle Seahawks have extended edge rusher Derick Hall on a 3-year deal worth $42 million, with a max value of $46.5 million and $21 million guaranteed. In this episode, I react to the deal, what it says about John Schneider’s roster-building plan, and why this may be Seattle’s answer to the expensive post-June 1 pass-rush trade market. At $14 million per year in base value, with up to $15.5 million annually, this is not elite edge-rusher money. It’s an early bet on an ascending young player before the price potentially gets much higher. The question is whether the Seahawks just bought low on a future breakout… or paid a projection price before Derick Hall has fully proven it. We’ll break down the contract, the timing, what it means for Mike Macdonald’s defense, and whether this changes Seattle’s need to keep shopping for another pass rusher.

Myles Garrett is off the table — and worse for the Seahawks, he’s reportedly headed to the Los Angeles Rams. That changes the entire NFC West conversation in a hurry. Multiple reports say the Rams are acquiring Garrett from the Browns in a package involving Jared Verse and draft compensation.

So now what?

The Seahawks were already connected to the idea of adding a true pass-rush “closer” for Mike Macdonald’s defense. But with Garrett now landing inside the division, Seattle’s question becomes even more urgent: do they have an answer?

Fortunately, the timing matters. With the June 1 window now here, teams have more flexibility to trade or move expensive veteran contracts while spreading out dead-money consequences. That could open up a broader pass-rush market beyond Garrett.

Tonight, we react to Garrett becoming a Ram, what it means for the Seahawks and the NFC West, and which names could still make sense for Seattle. Maxx Crosby? T.J. Watt? Kayvon Thibodeaux? Nick Herbig? Someone else entirely?

Garrett may be gone. But the Seahawks’ pass-rush search may just be getting started.

Could the Seahawks actually trade for Myles Garrett?

In this episode I debate MYSELF on both sides of the argument. One side says Seattle should be aggressive, take the big swing, and add one of the best defensive players in football. The other side says the cost — picks, money, age, and long-term cap impact — might be too much.

The final phase of Seahawks OTA’s is underway, and Mike Macdonald is already giving us some meaningful clues.

After laying out 10 things that matter during OTA’s on yesterday's show, we now have a few early answers: encouraging injury updates, a pass-rush contract that looks even better than it did when it was signed, and a new slogan/message pushing the defending champions forward as they try to repeat.
