The Ian Furness Show

Tune in every Thursday at 1:20 for Coug talk with the coach, Jim Walden. He appears courtesy of his great sponsors: Glass by Lund, NW Propane, Farmhouse Restaurant, Valley RVSupercenter, and Cougfan.com.

Thursday at 2pm is your weekly chance to improve your chances at winning this weekend's fantasy football matchup thanks to Brandon Funston of The Athletic. Brandon appears thanks to Puyallup River Brewing. With distribution in most parts of Washington, Puyallup River Brewing is just two guys passionate about beer and making people smile. Try their award winning beers like Hazey’s Comet, Electron IPA, Mud Mountain Milk Stout, Mountain Sunrise Pale and more specialty brands at lots of retailers in the area.

Ed Dickson joins Ian from the VMAC. He discusses his debut as a Hawk, the Seahawk Way, and more. The play-action is to football what the shift is to baseball, strongly debated over and discussed far too much, but what kind of an impact has it had on the Seahawks offense? The first official college football playoff poll was released, and the Cougs are ranked 8th, but stuff happens. Teams in the original top 4 drop out all the time; in fact teams ranked third have never made it to the playoffs. WSU is, if they win out and do everything right, in a good position. We just need Alabama to beat LSU, Nortre Dame to lose somewhere, and a couple of things to go our way.

Mike Holmgren discusses the evolution of the trade deadline, Detroit's reaction to losing on Sunday, the curse of the Browns, and more. The Seattle Seahawks' first coach Matt Patricia passes away at the age of 85. Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia ripped a reporter for posture, seemingly not handling the situation in Detroit very well. Ian says take the Ducks on Fact or Fiction. Softy from the VMAC, on out-of-control fanbases after seeing the Red Sox parade.

Tune in every Wednesday at 2pm to hear Mike Holmgren with Ian Furness on all things NFL and Seahawks. He is brought to you by El Gaucho, Masterpark, 30-10, Tacoma Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, Redbox, and by Washington Gold Casinos.

Ian and Ryland Spencer cover the world of high school football in Western Washington from top to bottom with focus on some of the best teams, best players, and most interesting stories.
