Episode 29: EVA (Economic Value Added) Part 1

Welcome back to The IBC Guys Podcast!  

In this episode of The IBC Guys, Mike and Dave discuss EVA - or Economic Value Added.  Nelson Nash, the Godfather of OBC, states “One finances everything.”  What he means is that there is a cost to every choice made with one’s money - even saving it in a shoebox.  The Guys work to define EVA, discuss the impact EVA has on making financial choices, and then how EVA relates and shows up in IBC.  This higher level IBC topic is great for those who are just beginning their IBC journey as well as those who have had their policies for years! 

Also in the 1st episode of 2 in talking about EVA, Mike is working on his professional wrestling catch phrase, Dave tries to sound smart in quoting Nelson Nash, and the guys compare their own personal banking policies!  EVA is a great mirror to look into when making decisions for one’s financial future.

Episode 28: Shame in Finances?

Episode 24: Buy/Sell Agreements: Do You Need One?

Welcome back to The IBC Guys Podcast!  

In this episode of The IBC Guys, Mike and Dave discuss Buy/Sell agreements - definitions, examples, and encouragement in deciding if Buy/Sell should be in your life.  When life changes - death, retirement, disability, etc. - Buy/Sell agreements (a) proactively make the decisions for the change and (2) pay out any financial settlement that may be part of that change.  All the while, the owner of the policy can use the Buy/Sell agreement as an IBC policy, maintaining the control, liquidity, and usage that makes IBC so valuable!

Also in this episode, Mike stands firm on his stance about an IBC Guys theme song, Dave gives up on trying to be funny, and the guys offer free things!  It's always a great idea to prepare for change and the guys work to show how a Buy/Sell agreement helps set people up for success when that change inevitably happens!
