In this Psalm, David tells us of the comprehensive nature of our sin. He also describes the grace and mercy of God and how our proper response should be thanksgiving. 

There are many misconceptions about the Christian doctrine of the resurrection. In this podcast, we delve into the basics of some of those misconceptions. 

In Paul's sermon, he lays out some pretty tough things for his Jewish audience to hear. But then he brings the greatest news they could hear - forgiveness and freedom are found in the One that was killed. What great news!

Paul reminds the church at Corinth that his outward appearance, and what others might be saying about him, does not ultimately matter. What matters is that he and his companions' lives are not their own but dictated by the love of Christ.

Paul gives us early creedal material from the Christian community. Many think that this section of 1 Corinthians goes back to creedal material that was developed between 33-35 AD. This makes this very early testimony about the resurrection of Jesus. 

Antioch is a fascinating church that is multiracial and multicultural. They courageously send out Paul and Barnabas on their first missionary journey. Paul confronts a false teacher and makes it very clear that false doctrine is not to be tolerated. 

Peter finds himself in prison, once again. James has been martyred. Persecution is ramping up. And the church is praying earnestly. Perhaps that's why Peter was more at peace than he should be. And maybe that's why Peter could later write the words in 1 Peter 3:12

As God's Spirit strengthens the church in Antioch, the Jerusalem church sends teachers and prophets to encourage them. In return, the church in Antioch supports the Jerusalem church by sending monetary aid during a famine. 

In Acts 11 Peter recounts the story of Cornelius to the Christians in Jerusalem. Some are opposed to Peter's actions because they believe Cornelius and the gentiles were in need of becoming Jews also. How would the early church work out gentiles coming to faith in Jesus? Would they have to take on the "works of the Law" as part of their new faith in Jesus?
