You can’t put a price on wisdom. Through wisdom, you can discern The Bible and find the application for each part of your life: wisdom to seek God when you face anything you’re unsure of or need more wisdom for. Today, Pastor Bill’s going to remind you to use wisdom in reading The Bible to see all of the ways it points to Jesus. It points to Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross how He lived and the fulfilled prophecies about Him, and it’s through wisdom you can fully understand and apply it all.

Everything in The Bible backs itself up, and everything points to Jesus, from the Old Testament to the New. When you go through The Bible yourself, remember to keep Jesus in mind. Remember how He lived, what His sacrifice was about, and the compassion He had for others. As Pastor Bill’s going to show you today, it’s the best way to understand what you’re reading. Jesus should be your focus all day long: when you read Scriptures, when you’re at work, school, at home, and anywhere else.

Have you ever tried to counsel a friend going through a tough time, and quoted a bit of Scripture that maybe only seemed slightly relevant? Pastor Bill warns you to be careful in those kinds of situations. If you begin to take Scripture out of context and apply it to situations where it doesn’t belong or make sense, you can do more harm than good, even though you’re using good tools. Instead, use the wisdom that you have gained from Scripture, and ask the Lord to give you the words to say.

Have you met a Christian leader who is always trying to come up with logical explanations for your problems? Although they have good intentions, they are glossing over the most important influence in Christian life: God. The Lord sustains His people through means that are only sometimes understandable by humans. Pastor Bill advises you to seek a leader who recognizes the works of God in your life and encourages you to seek the Lord for the provision and answers you need to make it through.

Do you wish that you could have an easy, carefree life? Well, following Jesus may not be the best choice for you. You have the promise of an eternal reward once you reach the end of your life, but following Jesus almost guarantees that you’ll face more challenges in life. If those challenges don’t come from people around you, they will often come in the form of spiritual attacks from the enemy. However, Pastor Bill reminds you to praise God always and allow Him to raise you up and carry you through.

There are so many spiritual forces waging war around us, but we don’t even notice. Angels and demons are fighting for influence over your life, and that can contribute to why you may feel overwhelmed or confused by the circumstances of your life. However, Pastor Bill encourages you in today’s message to keep the faith and be courageous. Don’t let your testimony be harmed by the negative things going on around you, but instead let them refine your story, and increase the power of your testimony.

Did you know that the devil is jealous of you? Because of your faith in Jesus, you have become a target of the armies of Hell, because you have what they will never have: the hope of salvation. In today’s message, Pastor Bill teaches about how Satan knew about Job’s blessings and was set free to torture Job and try to strip away his faith. Just like Job, you will face times when the enemy tempts you to turn away from God. Take those challenges as opportunities to renew your faith in Him.

Have you ever thought that you could be at the start of an amazing story? In the book of Job chapter 1, Job had no idea of what he was about to go through, or that his testimony would become a key part of Scripture for billions of believers. Pastor Bill reminds you today that you may not know how your story ends, but God already has a plan for how your story ends, and how your story will be used to bless future generations. Don’t worry about the present, because He knows the end.

Aren’t you excited to be living right in the middle of the story of the Bible? While we await Jesus’ return, we are right in the middle of the story of creation, sin, redemption, and fruition. Pastor Bill reminds us today that we don’t know when Jesus will return and fulfill the prophecies of Revelation, but we do know that He reigns sovereign over the world regardless. Where does the nation of Israel fit into God’s plan now that the Church exists? Well, in today’s message, Pastor Bill warns against having the mindset that the Church has replaced Israel. Rather, Jesus’ death and resurrection serve as a bridge for humanity as a whole to be reunited with God, both Jew and Gentile. Instead of having rivalries with our Jewish brothers and sisters, we can look at each other as brothers and sisters in Christ! We are part of God’s family and are equally loved by Him.
