The wrong companion can ruin your life. Your pals can often have a negative impact on you. They may push their addictions on you or instill a negative outlook in your heart about others. What should you do? In today's message, Pastor Bill discusses why having faith-filled friends is so important. They can always help you stay close to God and encourage you whenever you are feeling low. Even if you're alone and have no friends, your church group can be a source of support during difficult times! 

We often harbor this greedy thinking in our heads even when we are assisting someone. We typically consider how we might profit from helping someone in need. It could be receiving the glory or any other means. But is this the correct mindset? Today, Pastor Bill explains how you can start giving selflessly. God sees your heart. Instead of assisting people for personal benefit, choose to do so with a spirit of kindness and mercy. When you do that, you can count on God to do the same for you in times of need!

You may often have the concept of honoring your parents by working and doing things that will make them proud of you. But how frequently do you make an attempt to be right with God? You may have flaws or addictions to deal with. But have you ever tried giving everything up for Jesus? In today's message, Pastor Bill encourages you to take a step forward for Christ. He did the impossible to save you by sacrificing Himself on the cross. But are you willing to make an effort to develop a relationship with Jesus?

Sometimes we adopt the selfish habit of only getting from people and without giving anything in return. Even when you ask God for something you've always wanted, how often do you try to do anything in return for Him? In today's message, Pastor Bill discusses how to cultivate a serving mentality. When you contribute gladly and with the right attitude, God sees everything and rewards you accordingly. Even you can choose to repay God for His gifts by serving Him in the way that He desires!

Oftentimes someone may want to share something personal with you. But when speaking with that person, you may have a different perspective, which you may even share with others. But do you understand what Jesus wants you to accomplish? Today, Pastor Bill discusses the importance of discipleship groups. Anyone can encounter a low point in life, but as a follower of Christ, you can approach that person with empathy, listen to them, and feel their pain. Finally, you can encourage and pray for them!

In everyday life, we can be unmerciful at times. It could be while interacting with coworkers at work or simply behaving cruelly to someone for no apparent reason. It can be a difficult line to walk. But do you comprehend how to apply compassion in your life? In today's message, Pastor Bill explores the wellspring of kindness. God showed you mercy by sending Jesus to die for your sins on your behalf. You can accept God's kindness in your life and start to implement it by showing mercy to those around you!

Think about your coworkers or employees. It’s fascinating to see different approaches to work. Some people think linear, while others bounce from task to task. Some like to check off their to-dos and clock out. Others like to spend extra time getting ahead. Today, Pastor Bill teaches that some people like to be a “checklist Christian,” thinking keeping the Bible will earn them a spot in Heaven. However, you’ll learn that it’s not your actions that make you righteous, but Jesus who makes you righteous.

Isn’t Jesus so good? Isn’t the love of the Father so captivating? How can you enter the presence of God and want to leave? When you encounter the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, something inside of you awakens that you never knew was there. In today’s message, Pastor Bill talks about this awakening, and how you can’t help but want to chase after Jesus with each breath you take. You gain a desire to read your Bible, even if you’re not a reader. You begin to pray. You become a new creation.

Deep down, we all know that we ought to be nice, patient, and uplifting. However, when the 5:00 pm traffic hits… it gets a little harder. When that certain coworker won’t quit pestering you… it’s not so easy. In today’s message, Pastor Bill teaches that slander and strife are rooted in hatred. You may not realize it, but when you gossip about someone, there’s something a little darker inside of you than you realize. Hatred has no place within you, so rid yourself of it, and instead, love those around you. 

The 23rd Psalm says, “Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Did you catch that? A staff and a rod. In today’s message, Pastor Bill points out that David recognized that God has both an instrument of guidance and an instrument of correction. God is a Good Shepherd who will lead you to green pastures. However, sometimes God will need to correct your path when you veer too close to the cliff’s edge. When you stray too far from the path, expect a nudge from the Shepherd’s rod to get you back on track.
