There’s a saying in Churchdom today that the goal is all too often nickels and noses. Sometimes churches can seem too much like other organizations whose only concern is to attract more customers who will pay a pretty penny to line their pockets. In his message today, Pastor Bill talks about the joy that comes from being in fellowship in a local church body with real people. It should never be about nickels and noses, but about the genuine camaraderie you can find with other like-minded believers.

There are so many health trends right now that it can make your head spin. “How to cut belly fat with just this one simple hack.” I mean, all you gotta do is scroll through social media, and you’ll see all kinds of tips on how to get into the best shape of your life. In Pastor Bill’s message today, he offers you a shift in perspective. It’s not that you shouldn’t take care of your earthly body, but are you looking toward your heavenly body? Are you looking forward to the promise of eternal life in the presence of God?

Not only are sheep without a shepherd prone to wandering and getting lost, but they’re also vulnerable to attacks from predators. There are vicious animals who would love to have an easy little mutton snack without a shepherd around to protect the sheep. Today, Pastor Bill wants you to know that God places leaders in your life for your protection. You can wander around life on your own, but that will make you vulnerable to all kinds of dangers. Thank God for those He puts in your life to watch your back.

For most of us, once we graduate high school, we go on to pursue a career path, whether through college or some other trade path. And then life flies by as we grind for the next thirty years or so… but once we hit retirement, then what? Life’s not over at that point, is it? In Today’s message, Pastor Bill challenges you not to just cruise along in your life with Christ just because He saved you. Yes! Jesus completed the work of salvation on the cross, but that’s just where life begins.

Some people swear that there’s something called a “Runner’s high.” Other people ask, “Why run when I have a perfectly good car?” Ok, so running may not be for everyone. Some people love it, and others hate it, but you’ve got to admit that it takes dedication. In his message today, Pastor Bill urges you to run your race of faith, and when it gets hard, keep pressing on. Sometimes the trials of this life can leave you feeling tired and out of breath, but keep your eyes on the prize and keep running.

There are all kinds of achievements people strive for in life. College degrees. Financial success. The perfect family. The perfect house. The perfect life. Those are all great things to have, but compared to knowing Christ personally, what good are they all? Today, Pastor Bill teaches you that NOTHING compares to knowing Christ. You can achieve what many would consider to be the ideal life, but without Christ, it won’t do you any good. You can never earn for yourself what Christ accomplished on the cross.

On the football field, every player has a job to do, and the coach does as well. The team is like a chain; it’s only as strong as its weakest link. The better each player does, the better the team does. The better the team plays, the more wins they take home. In Pastor Bill’s message today, he teaches you that God has already won the victory, but you still need to get out on the field and play. The game ain't over until it’s over. So get out there and get it done. Get to work with the job that God has given you to do.

Every friendship evolves when both sides start to make things personal. That’s why friendships that have lasted years are the strongest, because those people have gone through life with you. Have you let God into those moments with you? It’s hard to have a personal relationship with Him if you don’t invite Him in! Today, Pastor Bill asks the question: Do you know God? There’s a difference between being acquainted with God and knowing Him. Invite Him into your life and choose to walk with Him every day!

What is one plus one? Two plus two? Three plus three? The correct answers are two, four, and six! Addition is a helpful tool for life. Things like taxes, what grades we’ve gotten on exams, and how many hours are left in our workdays. Addition is great for a lot of things, but there’s one thing that it can’t be used for. Today, Pastor Bill says you should never add things to the Word of God. Keep addition in the math section of your brain, and be careful of those who want to add rules to how you live life for Jesus!

We’ve all had those moments where something happens to us that we didn’t deserve. For some, it may come in the form of a police officer letting you off with a warning instead of a ticket for speeding, and for others, it may come from someone paying for your meal even though you didn’t ask. There’s one who paid the ultimate price for you, and that’s Jesus. Today, Pastor Bill reminds you that without Jesus, you’d be hopeless. You must follow Jesus with your whole heart to be saved! Trust in Him today!
