The Implanted Word Podcast

What’s coming in the future, as it pertains to the end days, is nothing short of miraculous. Depending on your relationship with Jesus, it might even be scary. As Pastor Bill takes you to the first chapter of Revelation today, you’ll see how important it is to be right with God before the day comes when Jesus returns. There will be fear, and wars, and deception. But, as scary as it may sound, the end is glorious for those who put their hope in Christ. His followers get an eternal home in paradise with Him.

Some day, Jesus will return to bring those who followed Him to their home prepared for them in Heaven. He’ll defeat the devil and put an end to sin and pain. Until then, we’re called to lead a life surrendered to Him. As Pastor Bill will explain today, that’s how you live a truly fulfilled and blessed life. Would Jesus find you actively pursuing God and living for Him if He returned right now? The time of His return draws nearer every day, and now is the time to make the biggest impact for His Kingdom as you can.

The hero of the Bible is Jesus Christ. You can see Him being pointed to throughout the entirety of the Scriptures, from the Old Testament to the New. Lives of Old Testament figures modeled Jesus’s life, prophecies foretold his coming, and the gospels told the story of his life on earth. The book of Revelation, which Pastor Bill will introduce you to today, tells what it will be like when Jesus comes again. It will be a time when Christians are brought to Heaven, and sin, death, and Satan are finally defeated forever.

We often wonder whether we'll have the strength to face whatever trial may come our way. The truth is, we usually don't know what we're capable of until we're walking through it. That's where God meets us, providing the strength, peace, and grace we could never muster on our own. Today, Pastor Bill will remind you that God doesn't promise a life without hardship, but He does promise to supply everything you need. You can rest with confidence, knowing His power will be enough when you need it most.

It's easy for us to think there will come a day when we've finally arrived in our walk with Jesus. But the Christian life isn't about reaching a finish line; it's about continually growing closer to Him. There's always more to discover about His character, more of His truth to embrace, and more ways He wants to shape us into His likeness. Pastor Bill will tell you today that you never retire from your spiritual journey. You can keep growing with confidence, knowing God always has more ways to transform you.

True joy is more than simply being thankful for what Jesus has done for us. It's the deep, lasting joy that comes from knowing Him and having His presence living within us. Circumstances may change, but the joy found in Christ remains because He never leaves us. As Pastor Bill will share with you today, this kind of joy isn't something you manufacture; it's the fruit of a life rooted in Jesus. You can experience a joy that rises from within because Christ Himself has made His home in your heart.

From the very beginning, God was painting a picture of His plan to save us. The sacrifices of spotless lambs in the Old Testament weren't the final answer; they were pointing ahead to someone greater. Every sacrifice prepared the way for Jesus, the perfect Lamb of God, whose blood would once and for all take away our sin. Pastor Bill will tell you today that Christ fulfilled what the sacrificial system could never accomplish on its own. You can rest in the complete forgiveness Jesus has already secured for you.

It's easy for us to believe our role in God's kingdom is too small to matter. We look at others and assume they're making the real difference while we have little to offer. But in the body of Christ, every act of service, every gift, and every sacrifice has purpose. Today, Pastor Bill will explain to you that God often uses your faithful obedience to accomplish far more than you can see. You may never know how your generosity or service empowers others, but God delights in working through every willing heart.

We all want to understand God's Word correctly. It's easy to pull a single verse out of context and build an entire belief around it. Scripture was never meant to be read in isolated pieces. We need to consider what comes before and after, why it was written, and who first received it. As Pastor Bill will share with you today, understanding the context helps you grasp the author's intended meaning and apply God's truth faithfully. You can grow in wisdom as you learn to read the Bible the way it was meant to be read.

We live in a world that tells us we should satisfy every craving the moment we feel it. Even hunger can seem like something we simply can't endure. But what if those moments of physical hunger reminded us of a deeper spiritual need? What if they pointed us to our hunger for God? Today, Pastor Bill will remind you that Jesus is your daily bread, faithfully providing what your soul truly needs. You can find lasting contentment in Him, trusting that He alone can satisfy your deepest hunger.
