The Bible says that God is our father, or in other words, our dad. What is your dad here on Earth like? Your relationship with him can taint your view of God as a father. Being a child of God comes with the most amazing benefits, but unfortunately being persecuted comes with the territory as well. Today, Pastor Bill will be reminding you that it’s perfectly normal for you to feel like an alien here on Earth because your citizenship is in Heaven! When you feel like you don’t fit in, it’s because you don’t anymore, and you’ve been called to a higher purpose.   

 If you want to live a godly life, you will be persecuted. This is a promise in the Bible, maybe not the most quoted and warm promise, but a promise nonetheless. This is because the world, the flesh, and the devil hate God and constantly try to sway you to live for yourself. As Pastor Bill continues his teaching series through the Gospel of John, he’ll be encouraging you to remain bold for the Lord and not allow the demonic forces of this age to discourage you from living a victorious Christian life.  

 As a Christian, you’ve been commanded to obey the Great Commission, to preach the Gospel, and to make disciples. One of the biggest hesitations for believers when it comes to preaching the Gospel and ministering to others is their fear of man and being rejected. In Western society, if this is the worst thing that can happen to you, consider yourself blessed. There are many extremely hostile countries towards Christianity, and the persecution is more severe than here. Be bold, and obey God.
