If someone offered you the most incredible, life-changing gift that would last forever, would you say no? Well Pastor Bill shares, the gift of salvation is what Jesus has offered all of us. But you have to say yes. And you must say yes before it’s too late. In 2 Corinthians 6:2, the Apostle Paul says that “Today is the day of salvation”. So, if you haven’t said yes to Jesus and accepted Him as your Lord and Savior, today is the today. Your life will be forever changed and there may not be a tomorrow.

Imagine all the advertising you see and hear. Thousands and thousands of impressions are made on your eyes, ears, and ultimately your brain every week! It can be hard to tune out those voices and forget about those powerful images. But Pastor Bill shares, despite all the noise around you, there is one person who deserves your full attention…24-7…Jesus. Jesus deserves your praise, devotion, and love because, without Him and His death and resurrection, you would be dead in sin…forever.

As you’re hearing this imagine the smell of popcorn at the movie theater. Do you get a whiff of the aroma of melted butter? What about the smell of a campfire on a chilly fall night? Pretty incredible, isn’t it? How powerful your senses are…even in your imagination. Now imagine, as Pastor Bill describes the fragrance that filled that house as Mary anointed Jesus from head to toe. That sweet aroma of the Savior, your Savior, being blessed, cared for, and honored before He paid the ultimate price for you.

As he was plotting Jesus’ death, the high priest Caiaphas stated that it would be better for this one man to die so they could save the people. Although he didn’t intend to be a prophet, he declared God’s ultimate plan to save the people. As Pastor Bill teaches today, with the death and resurrection of Jesus, all men can be saved. God replaced the system of sacrificing lambs for the forgiveness of sins with the death of His Son, forever abolishing the need for those sacrifices. Believing this saves anyone! 

Our nation, our world is in crisis. And it feels like it’s only growing bigger each day. It’s tempting to believe it has grown out of God’s control. Yet, as Pastor Bill will illustrate today, nothing is out of God’s sovereign control. Even when His Son was facing betrayal and death, God was in control. Everything happened according to God’s will. God is still sovereign over every detail of your life, and of all that’s happening in the world today. Don’t despair! Instead, trust God, worship Him, and glorify Him with your life! 

Before Jesus called you, you were dead in sin. Like Lazarus in the grave, you were bound, dead, and beyond help. Yet, Jesus, with supreme power and love, called your name. And when you heard and answered that call, you were made alive again. Your sins were forgiven and you were given eternal life with Him. Today, Pastor Bill will encourage you to answer that call from Jesus. Let Him save you. Truly, you’ll never be the same. Only He can give you new life from death. You’ll be alive and free and forgiven!  

There were many witnesses to the death of Lazarus. Those bystanders knew of Jesus and His power to heal. Yet what they experienced was death and grief. Yet, they also saw a greater miracle. Today, Pastor Bill will explain how these witnesses experienced the true power of God. They saw Lazarus resurrected. They saw his new life. And they were changed. Will witnesses around you see your new life as a born-again believer in Christ? Let others experience your peace, joy, and hope as a child of God.  

When one of Jesus’ closest friends was sick to death, He was summoned to heal him. Everyone knew of Jesus’ power to heal. Mary and Martha knew and believed Jesus could do a miracle for Lazarus. But, Jesus delayed. He didn’t rush to his bedside. He waited 4 days. And for Mary and Martha, those days were filled with despair. Today, Pastor Bill will explain how Jesus’ time and plan will often not align with yours, but His will is so much better than your own. It’s important to trust Him even when you don’t understand.  

There are so many things going on in our world today that cause anxiety, despair, and a great fear of death. From disease to war to natural disasters, most people are living in deep distress. However, despite all of this, Pastor Bill will challenge you today to live in light of the good news of Jesus. He came not only to forgive and save you after death, but He also came to bring you abundant life NOW. You should have peace and contentment that the world simply can’t understand.  

One thing is for certain: eventually, your time on Earth will end. Whether by rapture or by physical death, there will be a day when you are no longer here. Another thing is certain: God has work for you to complete. Will you complete it before your days come to an end? Today Pastor Bill encourages you to accomplish those things that God has set out for you to do. Don’t let the cares of this world and the worries of your heart distract you from the work that is to be done. The days on Earth are numbered and limited.
