The Implanted Word Podcast

Do you struggle to see how God’s will is going to be fulfilled in your current moment? Well, sometimes God’s plan takes longer to come to fruition than we expect. In fact, there are parts of God’s promises to Abraham about the nation of Israel that sometimes seem to have never come true. But in today’s message, Pastor Bill encourages you to remain patient and hold fast to your faith. Even if you can’t see the way through right now, God will make good on every promise He has made to you.

Do you feel useless in your current position? Like the Lord can’t use you unless your external circumstances change? Well, Pastor Bill reminds you today that God used Esther and Mordecai, in their unusual sets of circumstances, to save the whole people of Israel from the wrath of a wicked servant. Never doubt that God can’t use you where you are, but rather take those concerns before God, and ask Him for the patience to wait until your purpose is revealed, or you are called to move.

Have you dared to ask for more favor from God? In today’s message, Pastor Bill teaches about how Esther not only received grace from King Xerxes, but she asked for a repeat of that same grace the next day, and it was granted. Even when you think God’s blessings won’t extend till the next day, why not ask Him? Give Him a chance to surprise you, use that faith the size of a mustard seed, and see how He can work in your life. Ask big questions and dream big dreams, God is listening.

The world is full of things to be worried about. If you spend even a small amount of time on the internet, listening to the radio, or watching TV, you’re certain to hear of some possible doomsday or some new crisis on the other side of the world. However, Pastor Bill reminds you today that Jesus is your source of hope. When you are feeling overwhelmed by what is going on in the world, bring those burdens to Jesus. He will ease your anxiety, and remind you of who He is, and of His power to provide.

All you have to do is choose. That’s the simplicity and beauty of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He’s done everything necessary for you to become a pure, justified Child of God. That is the source of true, eternal joy. As Pastor Bill will point out in today’s message, when you abide in this truth, nothing this world throws at you can hold you down. It’s not that it won’t be a challenge, but the hope you have in Christ fills your heart and the worries of this world no longer bear the weight they once did.

Reading your Bible is wonderful - but it doesn’t earn you anything. The Pharisees knew Scripture like the back of their hands - but they didn’t really know it. They missed the entire point of it and they couldn’t recognize the Messiah that it foretold when He stood right in front of them performing miracles and speaking truth. In today’s message, Pastor Bill will encourage you to read this book to get to know your Loving Father more, not because it’s what Christians are supposed to do.

Where are you looking for joy? Money? Family? Or romance? We have many avenues we can take in this life in our quest for fulfillment and meaning, but they all end up back at the same place - broken and empty. As Pastor Bill will explain in today’s message, if you want your story to be defined by joy and contentment, there’s only one place to look. Jesus wants to provide that joy for you, and when you center your story around Him, He brings meaning and focus to all your other pursuits.

Has Jesus found you? He’s looking and longing for the moment you’ll look back and see the love He has for you. In today’s message, as Pastor Bill examines the story of Jesus’ resurrection and first encounters with His followers, he’ll help us understand the “holy heartburn” that they experienced when they saw Him. Encountering Jesus will take you so much deeper than just a feeling, He transforms us, but when He touches our hearts, there is an overwhelming feeling that wells up inside all of us.

Sometimes we analyze and criticize the disciples' reaction to Jesus’ arrest and crucifixion with an unfair amount of cynicism. As Pastor Bill examines the account of this monumental event in today’s message, he’ll help us understand the position these men were in. They were human and they’d given up a lot to follow Jesus. Things hadn’t gone how they expected at all. They’d misunderstood His mission and the way He was going about it seemed all wrong from a human perspective.

If you’ve ever received news that really rocked your world, then you can relate to the way that the disciples felt. Perhaps it was when you learned you were going to be a parent, or maybe you got a job offer that would change your life. Or maybe it was bad news like a serious health diagnosis or the news of the death of a loved one. In today’s message, Pastor Bill tells the story of Jesus inviting His disciples to be part of a wedding feast. This wasn’t just any wedding feast, it was the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
