I spent some time with Wes (Grantasaurus Rex as I called him then) at CTCRM Lympstone when we were both injured during the long 32 weeks of training held there. I was in a very bad place mentally at the time after receiving an injury early on in the training and was medically discharged many months later. That was 13 years ago. Even though I didn't make the grade, sharing a room together, Wes made my stay in Hunter Company so much more bearable with his often hilarious uplifting spirit and inspirational ways which would inpact on everybody around him. He was always lightening the mood and encouraging you to do better in many things.
