Pro Russian separatists are occupying government buildings there and in a number of key cities across Eastern Ukraine. The government in Kiev is showing uncertainty. The international community is threatening further sections.
Next World View moves to France with Lara Marlowe in Paris where the new prime minister Manuel Valls is attempting to establish a new identity for himself and the French economy. We also hear about the return of Segolene Royal and the prospects for Marine le Pen.
Finally we join Michael Jansen in Syria who is in Mallulah outside Damascus to hear her insights on the election that Assad is planning to hold over the coming weeks.
