In this episode of UP Dialogues, Sanjay Dixit hosts Dhirendra Pundir to discuss the brilliant crisis management by Yogi Adityanath, using a mix of hard decisions to arrest senior opposition leaders when they tried to proceed to Lakhimpur, and of empathy and guile by using Rakesh Tikait to defuse the situation. Tikait, of course, is being called a traitor by farm unions, so it's a win-win for Yogi and a plus for his campaign.
Sandeep Balakrishna joins Sanjay Dixit to discuss Lessons 7 and 8 from Hindu History in the Episode 4 of this series, i.e. Lesson 7 - The Spectre of Aurangzeb, and 8. The Seeds of Breaking India.
Sanjay Dixit brings the real story of Kheri Lakhimpur violence as more than 20 youngsters from his own village Bijua were present in Ajay Mishra's village Banveerpur for the annual Dangal (wrestling) competition. Panchmakkars and LallanTop are lying and Ajay Mishra's move to remove encroachments by Sikhs and Khalistanis from river beds and forest lands is the real provocation. Giving Tikait importance may be a brilliant short term tactic, but would be abd in the long run.
Our friend Shashi Tharoor is at it once again. He stoutly defended his friend Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan. Sanjay Dixit reviews the case against Aryan Khan and shows why Tharoor is completely wrong.

One more Afghan dynast under trouble after Saif Ali Khan and Naseeruddin Shah has gone down the road of infamy. The grandson of Shah Nawaz Khan, who played traitor to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose to curry favour with Nehru, Shah Rukh is known for playing victim, as in his movie My Name is Khan. In that movie, he had quoted Qur'an 5.32 and 109.6 to proclaim Islam as a religion of peace. Now his son has been arrested for drugs, and is an apt tribute to the den of debauchery and anti-nationalism that Bollywood is.
Fayaz Ahmad Fyzie scored big in a debate where Arfa Khanum Sherwani and Faizan Mustafa were present. However, instead of giving counters to the sharp arguments of Fayaz, they chose to ran away, because Fayaz completely busted their victim card. Fayaz established the narrative of 'Minorities means Muslims, and Muslims means Ashraf' to the hilt. Sanjay Dixit catches up with him to get a ringside view.
Dhirendra Pundir and Abhishek Tiwari join Sanjay Dixit to discuss the ground situation in Uttar Pradesh, where there is a free season for inter-party migration and last minute announcements and policy pronouncements. What are the issues that seem to be finding resonance on the ground and how are the various parties addressing them?
A lot of people would like to portray MK Gandhi as 'Father of the Nation', even though he had no role to play by his own admission. 'British Left voluntarily', MKG said. His main contribution has been a vapid concept of Ahinsa, which he claimed to have got from Hindu shastra, without giving any evidence of the same. His politics was a disaster, his claims to sainthood dubious, and he was directly responsible for the massacre of at least 1 million Hindus in 1947 alone. Sanjay Dixit examines.
