  • How to endure rejection | Lessons from a stand-up comedian

In today's episode, I interview up and coming stand-up comedian, Sam Hardy, about what it's like to endure rejection. Some of Sam's experiences would almost certainly cause many to give up. However, his discipline and dedication to mastering his craft have kept him going. This was one of my favorite interviews. I hope you enjoy it!

Side note: if you've listened to the show for a while, you might recognize this interview! It was published under our previous show name and removed when we relaunched in 2020. I've been slowly re-releasing only the episodes that are aligned with the current messaging of Persuasion School (Andrew Lieber, Jim DeCicco, and now Sam). This one with Sam is one of my all-time favorites as it pertains to mental endurance! Hope you enjoy!

  • How to positively influence others to change their habits | Lessons from the world of neuroscience

In this episode, I share tips for influencing others based on principles from neuroscience that come from the great book, "Your Brain At Work", by Dr. David Rock. Coincidentally, I started reading this book during the same week that I received this question from a listener:

"My 9 and 12 year old daughters are struggling with weight and image. How do I get them to want to eat more veggies and fruit (instead of junk food)?"

The book addresses scenarios almost identical to the one above which was a pleasant surprise. I had a ton of fun with this episode and I hope you find it valuable. Enjoy!
