I recently began reading the book "I Hear You" in efforts to better understand emotional validation and communication. Being a great listener has been a goal of mine for a while, and though I've put a lot of effort into improving this skill, I've recently come to realize where I've been falling short.
This episode is about how we can more effectively relay the feelings of love and compassion we have for others.
Through a recent experience I became aware of some dormant authentic desires that I didn't know I had. This experience helped me to realize how creating safety for ourselves and others can help us more easily access our authenticity and step into the person we want to become.
Lately I've been spending a lot of time learning and implementing the things that I've learned. As I've done that, two thoughts have been going through my mind. One idea is gardening our thoughts, and the other is allowing our emotions to crash.
This episode talks about these two concepts individually and also how they relate to each other in a beautiful way.
This is a special episode. It's my first interview, and it's with my 19 year old daughter Kaitlyn. This episode is about understanding the life of a teenager in today's world, the struggles they have, the pressure, and the things that they want us to understand. I'm excited to share this with you and see how it can benefit our lives.
It's easy to get off course without realizing it. Recently I've implemented a few new habits in my life to help me keep my self love, my actions, and my mindset in line with the person I want to be and the goals I'm striving towards.
I'm excited to see what you think and see how they can help you as well.
This is one of my hardest episodes to make because of the vulnerability it took. I recently started therapy and made a number of connections around my negative beliefs, where they came from, how they are continuing to be formed, and how I can change them.
At times I feel a conflict between accepting myself as I am, understanding that I'm not for everyone, and my belief that I'm the creator of my life and I have the ability to grow and influence my reality.
In this episode I dive into the two concepts, the way that I've resolved these in my head, and some new perspectives I've found through my reading.
This episode is about knowing what we want, why we want it, taking massive action to bring those things into reality, but at the same time learning to surrender to how things will look, and when they will come into our lives.
There are things you never knew to ask for in work, in friendships, in relationships, that have come into your lives in the latest season of your life, and many more things are to come. This is about setting yourself up to adapt to those changes and yet work towards your future as well.
This week I talk in more detail about rewriting our negative thought patterns. These are the habits you might not even be aware of that are affecting your thoughts, actions, and emotions.
Even though I've been working to change my negative thoughts I've found new ways to more directly influence the thoughts and beliefs that will direct my life and yours.
This episode is about building a foundation of self love in all areas of our life, the risks of having areas built on external sources, some areas that I've recently discovered I was lacking, and how we can raise our belief in ourselves and our goals.
