  • A test to discover your current mental health state.
Everyday, I try and honestly appraise my own mental state so that I know how I am functioning, how this body & mind are functioning. The key with this practice is to do it consistently everyday, and then when things are out of sync I am able to identify the problem, correct it, or seek help to find a solution. I hope this power thought is valuable to you, and I appreciate your feedback!

I try new things knowing that they might fail, and this takes courage because failure often feels bad. In the past, failure has made me feel like a screw-up, I had no clue what I was doing, but today I try new things knowing that regardless of the outcome I will grow and become a better person. I hope you enjoy this power thought, and I appreciate your feedback!

  • Evidence will always be found for that which is believed.
Evidence will always be found for that which is believed. In other words, you will find proof of whatever you believe. I have found that in my life I will often find proof for that which I believe. It is ultimately left up to us what we choose to believe in. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and hope you are having a happy Valentine's day!

  • Being grateful for the good in my life, and the bad which is not.
Being grateful for the good in my life, and the bad which is not. In the past, I used to focus on what I didn't have instead of being grateful for the blessing that were bestowed upon me. Today, I am grateful for my personal health, the health of my family, the loving & helpful people around me, and that I can be of service to those in need of it. I hope you enjoy this power thought, and I appreciate your feedback.

  • When you expect nothing in life, everything is a great gift.
When you expect nothing in life, everything is a great gift. When you expect things and don't get them, you ultimately set yourself up for sadness, frustration, fear, anger, and resentment. My mom once told me, after being married for 30 years, that the only way she could be completely happy with my dad was to expect nothing out of him, then everything good he did was something to be grateful for. I hope you enjoy this power thought, and I appreciate your feedback.

  • The "life used to be great and now it is not" story
Telling stories about how things used to be, versus how they are now. The main theme being that things used to be so great, how can I possibly be happy today? When you are aware of the format of this story, then you don't have to keep telling it. You don't have to be locked in the trap that things use to be so good, you cannot possibly be happy today. I hope you enjoy this power thought, and I am thankful to have learned this lesson from experience!

  • What is the truth about me?
What is the truth about me? I think this is worth thinking about because I go around believing things about myself and yet when I examine them in depth, I find that some of things I am not believing about myself are true, and some of the things I am believing about myself are not true. To me living a good life is being a whole-hearted person, and I like to be the same person in every single situation. I hope this power thought is helpful for you, and I appreciate your feedback!
