Chapter 1:
-RCMP have removed anti-pipeline protesters who were dangling from the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge for more than 35 hours. Seven climbers rappelled from the bridge Tuesday morning, while five additional climbers were on the bridge’s catwalk. It took RCMP three-and-a-half hours to get all of the protesters down from the bridge.
Chapter 2:
-Yesterday, in a shocking development, UK police confirmed a couple in their 40s living in the English town of Amesbury were poisoned by the nerve agent Novichok. It’s the same military grade chemical weapon used to nearly kill former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia four months ago. That incident took place just 12 kilometres away.
Chapter 3:
-The dangling protestors from the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge are finally gone. Police removed them from the bridge after 35 hours.
Chapter 4:
-Finance Minister Carole James is walking back the new payroll tax for public sector and charities after months of complaints that the half-baked measure will cause big issues. The Vancouver Sun's Vaughn Palmer is here with his take on the day's headlines.
Chapter 5:
-Toronto police say they’ve found more human remains at 53 Mallory Crescent - a house linked to alleged serial killer Bruce McArthur. The discovery was made at one of the first digging sites. Cadaver dogs identified quite a few areas of interest. It’s possible the remains belong to more than one person.
Chapter 6:
-Coquitlam mayor Richard Stewart met with representatives of BelAir Taxis yesterday - who left a disabled woman waiting for a cab for three hours in the rain on Canada Day. There’s been a strong response to the story; and it’s triggered renewed calls for UBER to be legalised. Premier John Horgan says they’re trying to improve the current system while the ride sharing review continues.
Chapter 7:
-A British couple in their 40s remains in critical condition in hospital after being poisoned by the chemical nerve agent novichok in Wiltshire, four months after Sergei and Yulia Skripal were sickened in the same way. In the wake of the Skripal’s poisoning, Yuri Felshtinsky warned “it’s only just the beginning”.

-When are drivers goin to smarten up and realize that distracted driving is the new drunk driving and we can no longer tolerate the behaviour.
Chapter 10:
-It’s a common belief that millennials are fleeing Vancouver amid skyrocketing housing prices, but research from UBC has found otherwise. The number of people aged 20-34 in Metro Vancouver actually increased 6,000 from 2012 to 2017. So, why the increase?
Chapter 11:
-The owner of Safeway, Sobeys, confirmed earlier this year 10 Safeway stores will shut down across metro Vancouver. Five will close tonight, the rest, at a later date. What does this mean for staff? Was this a surprise? Did Safeway struggle to maintain its relevance? And how will it alter the market...if at all?
Chapter 12:
-The former Olympic rower still hasn't explained his 18 month disappearance after ripping off his family and friends through a Ponzi scheme.
Chapter 13:
-Next week, Justin Trudeau will head to Latvia where he’ll meet Canadian troops before attending the NATO summit in Brussels. The defence minister will tag along.
