Student who survived  the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Florida are speaking out against gun violence. They have planned a rally called March For Our Lives on March 24th, 2018.

Chapter 1:

-B.C.’s teachers’ union is looking for ways to try and prevent special needs students from being targets of frustration from their teachers.  An annual report released by the teachers’ watchdog found special needs students are twice as likely to be the subject of reported misconduct.

-Talk about tone deaf! A youth basketball team in the U.S. confirmed it will be going ahead with a AR-15 fundraising raffle.

Chapter 4:

-Finance Minister Carole James doing the pre-budget media event at a child care centre in the provincial capital.  With the latest B-C budget coming out tomorrow, Premier John Horgan and Finance Minister Carole James are promising a comprehensive housing plan.  The Vancouver Sun's Vaughn Palmer is here with his take on the day's headlines.

A possible cap on surge pricing is one of 32 recommendations that have been put forward in a report on ride hailing by an all-party committee in B.C., and they could help to open the doors for services like Lyft and Uber.

The report is now in the hands of the provincial government, which will decide whether to allow ride hailing companies to operate.
