Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka appeared to be an ordinary newlywed couple, but their true nature as the Ken and Barbie Killers was far from normal. He utilized the skills he acquired in his profession to manipulate and lure his female victims, employing tactics and techniques he had honed in his day-to-day job. Just as he studied the art of succeeding in business, he meticulously studied the art of seducing and captivating women.
Paul Bernardo's obsession with the novel American Psycho was akin to his devotion to the Bible. However, when he crossed paths with Karla Homolka and they tied the knot, his sadistic tendencies escalated with her encouragement. Thus, the infamous Ken and Barbie Killers were brought into existence.
