No Matt this week, but his place is filled admirably by Margate's Director of Communications Ryan Day, who gives us his perspective on all things Kent football, and updates us on everything at Hartsdown Park. That includes an interview with Gate boss Andy Drury, who discusses his start to life at the Thanet club and his hopes for a long-term future in charge. We also speak to Fred Atkins, the man behind the Gate Money documentary, which is premiering this week at - among other places - the Gallagher Stadium and Longmead. The documentary looks at the distribution of the Government grants to the National League during the pandemic, and Fred tells us what we can expect. There's all the rest of the news from across the county, including a managerial exit, the FA Vase, Ebbsfleet's first defeat and a look ahead to the FA Trophy, which starts for our National League South sides this weekend. Ryan also tells us all about his sight issues and his work with the excellent Kent Association for the Blind, plus we also find time for some nonsense too, including the film Living, making a pie and house numbers.

Four interviews for you this week, including two from clubs who have changed manager and a boss who is celebrating his first league win of the season. We're back to our best this week with a packed show looking back at the FA Vase and FA Trophy and ahead to this weekend's FA Cup ties. Warning! This is far from our finest work, but something is better than nothing!! Just the one interview this week, but it's a good one as Ramsgate's surprise weekend hero Lee Hook talks us through his last-minute call-up to the first team and his stoppage-time penalty save against Lancing. We talk about all of the rest of the action, including the FA Cup where three of our National League South sides exited at the first hurdle - but Beckenham got a brilliant result to beat one of them. There's all the rest of the scores and fixtures in some random orders, and we discuss going to Berlin for three days (hence the quality of the podcast!), Blazing Saddles and a fish that lived to be 226 years old. Now that's a stat... We'll be better next week, promise...

After a football-free Saturday for obvious reasons, it was a bumper Tuesday night across the county and we've got three interviews for you to enjoy. Ashford United made it through in the FA Trophy on penalties after letting a late lead slip, but boss Tommy Warrilow has praised his new-look side for their start to the season - and is hoping for a bit of FA Cup history this weekend. Alan Dowson chats after his Dartford side beat Dover, discussing his start to life at Princes Park and why they need to be better. And standards are high at Erith & Belvedere too, where boss Tony Beckingham is still demanding more from his side even though they've made a perfect start to the SCEFL campaign. Plus we talk Cobra Kai, the Queen and give you the chance to guess what's been wrong with Matt with some clues about a US sitcom. Lovely.
