We've got all the rest of the news and views from across the county as the SCEFL title is won, the SCEFL Division One play-off final is arranged and Matt's beloved Dover are somehow still fretting despite being eight points clear of the drop zone at this late stage... We raise our bat to the stands once more as we chalk up another milestone and reflect on a week in which the game in our county has gone viral! One of the reasons for that is Sittingbourne defender Harrison Pont, who came off the bench as an emergency goalkeeper to save Adebayo Akinfenwa's last-minute penalty and earn his side victory in the Swale derby at Faversham - Harrison tells us all about the save, why there was no pressure on him to keep it out and denying a man he used to cheer on from the stands. Canterbury City are on the move again, swapping their groundshare at Sittingbourne for one at Margate, and City chairman Trevor James tells us the reasons behind that, his hopes to avoid the drop and, of course, the dream of getting back home. We discuss all the rest of the news after a crazy week in the non-league game in the county, and look ahead to another busy weekend. Plus we talk dog shows, cat skills, Bake Off and loads, loads more.

  • Kent Non-League Podcast - Episode 249
It's short and sweet this week as the show is recorded half at London Bridge station, but there's still plenty of good chat! Our only interview - not for the want of trying - comes from Ramsgate hotshot Rowan Liburd, who made it back-to-back hat-tricks to keep his side top of the table, and he discusses his time at the Rams so far and the Isthmian League South East title race. We discuss what has suddenly become a title race at the top of the SCEFL, as well as the news that play-offs are to be introduced at Step Five from next season. And we look at the rest of the pyramid, including Herne Bay's survival hopes, Dominic Poleon's goalscoring form and all of our National League sides. Plus we discuss Roy Kent, railway stations, Harry Potter, Daisy Jones and the Six and loads more.
