The weather may have been the winner again this weekend, but we've still got a packed show for you. In fact, the weather helps us out with our first interview as we speak to Dartford groundsman Jay Berkhauer about their first call-off in years - and he explains the difficulties this winter's weather has caused for groundsmen. We discuss at length issues around postponements and if it is time for a blanket rule on frozen pitch call-offs. Tonbridge Angels did play on Tuesday and had a fantastic 4-0 win over Dover Athletic, and Angels boss Jay Saunders discusses that win, his play-off hopes, loan star Jordan Greenidge and links with his old club Maidstone. And it was a great weekend too for Ramsgate youngster TJ Jadama, who grabbed his first career hat-trick in the win over Burgess Hill - he tells us about his short and long-term ambitions and why the Rams is the place to be. Plus there's all the usual chat and nonsense, including life outside our universe, Richard Branson's age, Prime, the Chippendales and loads more besides.

Two managers this week who both make the two of us feel very old, but a welcome injection of youth into our podcast! It's been a dreadful week off the field for Tunbridge Wells after the death of a loyal supporter and a heartbreaking fire at the stadium. Boss Luke Carpenter tells us about the challenges, the togetherness and how he hopes tragedy can galvanise the club for the rest of the season. Dover have a new manager, and at 28 Mitch Brundle is young enough to be Matt's son - and the two them have a good old chat about Brundle's ambitions for his time at the Whites. There's all the rest of the news and results from across the county, as well as the usual chat and drivel, which this week includes wine, Super Mario, Marmite, Love Island and The Test.

Our first episode of 2023 is a bumper show packed with four interviews for you to enjoy! Dover Athletic chairman Jim Parmenter gives a review of 2022 from the Whites' perspective and discusses the future of the club - admitting that things are tough for him and the club at the present moment as attendances fall and plans for a 3G pitch have been rejected. Things are much brighter for Sevenoaks Town and their manager Harry Hudson speaks about the project at Greatness Park after they began the year with an impressive win over Beckenham Town. For the Becks, it was disappointment but coach Phil Wilson was able to reflect on a great year and fine start to the season. Plus we hear from Richard Ralph, who has just released the first volume of the Pictorial History of Kent Football - he tells us how the book came together and the pain-staking research that went into it. And there's all the usual chat and nonsense including fireworks, decimalisation, The Rock, Happy Valley and how to entertain your wife...

It's time for the final show of 2022! The end of an incredible year for our show and football across the county. It wasn't a thriller of a final game for Jon as he saw (some of) Cray Valley's 0-0 draw with Corinthian, but both managers give their thoughts. Cray Valley's Tommy Osborne discusses how the cold snap has affected their momentum, how he's finding the job after replacing Kevin Watson and his hopes to maintain their promotion push. Corinthian are next to bottom but their boss Michael Golding is keeping the faith as his new-look squad continues to gel, and he looks ahead to a huge game with the team directly above them next week. Plus we discuss all the rest of the Boxing Day action, including Dartford's stunning win at Ebbsfleet and look in depth at where Margate go from here after they parted company with boss Andy Drury following the home loss to Cray Wanderers. Plus we look back at the year as a whole, and discuss pork pies, meeting the family, The Simpsons and loads more besides. See you in 2023!

  • Kent Non-League Podcast - Episode 238
With little football to talk about, it's very much a reduced service on this week's Kent Non-League Podcast as we look back at the FA Trophy and Isthmian League action over the weekend and look ahead to the "busy festive period". Not really much else to say, but we do discuss our own festive plans, the Bedgebury Lights and more besides. Something, as they say, is better than nothing...

Three cracking interviews for you this week despite much of the football across the county falling foul of the weather conditions. Cray Wanderers boss Neil Smith reflects on the first half of the season for his side, discusses the project at the club and gives us an update on their stadium plans. He's only had one game in charge so far and we chat with new Faversham Town boss Sammy Moore about the challenge he faces at Salters Lane, his long-term aims at the club and why he decided now was the right time to come back home. Plus after securing a new ten-year lease to stay at Star Meadow, Hollands & Blair chairman Paul Piggott tells us what it means for the club and why it is important they can get back to playing at their own stadium sooner rather than later. There's all the rest of the news from across the county, as well as the usual chat and nonsense including snow, trains, England's World Cup defeat, The Pact and loads more besides.
