The KillerFrogs

The Frogs bring home The Iron Skillet with a 42-34 win over the Mustangs in Coach Sonny Dykes’ return to The Hilltop. Shannon, Nathan, Nick, Ryann, and Sean break down what they liked from the game, go over some of the surprises across the Big 12, and look forward to the 11AM kickoff against the Sooners in Fort Worth this Saturday.

The Horned Frogs open the season 2-0 after a win in their home opener against Tarleton State 59-17 in what shaped up to be a pretty perfect day of college football. Joining Ryann, Shannon, Nathan, and Sean this week to talk about this weekend’s games is BamaCentral writer and host of the All Things Bama podcast, Mason Smith.

TCU begun the Dykes era on a high winning at Colorado 38-13. Nathan, Shannon, and Sean discuss what they liked about the Frog season opener and what they expect to see this season.

Ryann and Sean are joined by TCU Women’s Soccer coach Eric Bell as well as players Megan Reilly, Messiah Bright, Payton Crews, and Chaylyn Hubbard at the first annual Women’s Soccer Kickoff Party.

At today’s press conference Sonny Dykes was officially introduced as the next head coach of the TCU Horned Frogs. Sean, WC, Hunter, and Nick talk about what this means for the program, break down what they like about Coach Dykes’ staff, and how this move is already paying dividends.

It appears TCU is ready to officially announce Sonny Dykes as the next head coach of TCU football later this week following the Frogs’ 31-28 win over Kansas making Saturday’s game against Iowa State a must-win for the Frogs to become bowl eligible. We discuss what the hire means and who is being floated as a possible offensive coordinator. Hunter has some depressing, although not entirely unexpected, recruiting news, and Nick walks us through this week’s basketball games.

On this week’s episode Sean, Shannon, and WC talk about the complete collapse in Stillwater as the Frogs lose 63-17 and more importantly discuss the search for the next head coach of the Frogs. Could TCU be ready for Prime Time or does Sonny Dykes have an insurmountable lead on the rest of the field of candidates? The panel is split as to what they want from the next head coach.

We congratulate the women’s soccer team for another amazing regular season winning the Big XII and the conference tournament after beating Texas 2-1. Next up is the NCAA Tournament where they’ve been selected as the #4 seed. Nick and WC are excited about Basketball staring this week. Hunter has the latest on the search to replace legendary head coach Gary Patterson. And we talk about the big upset of the #12 Bears in Fort Worth in Coach Kill’s debut as the Frog’s interim head coach.

The Gary Patterson era is officially over at TCU as coach and the school have “parted ways” after a contentious meeting Sunday afternoon following an embarrassing loss to Kansas State; Patterson’s longtime friend and program advisor, Jerry Kill, has been named interim head coach. Shannon Brazzell, WC Nix, Nick Howard, and Sean Foushee discuss how we got to this point and what TCU needs to do moving forward.

We welcome special guest Andrew Bauhs from the College Football Tour (http://collegefootballtour.com/) who made TCU number 88 on his way to tour of all 130 D1 stadiums and gameday experiences as we learn a bit about what makes TCU a special destination among the college football landscape. Afterwards, Hunter, Nick, Ryan, and Sean discuss the disastrous game against West Virginia…. “Ugh” – Nick Howard
