+++ PRODUCTIVITY SURPRISE +++
When you hear the phrase "be more productive," what comes to your mind?
Do you think of work? Do you think of outcomes? Do you sigh and roll your eyes? What do you think of?
There are a variety of responses that we can expect to hear and each one of them do have some validity. But you would be surprised to know that no matter what the response, in the context of leadership, there's one skill that is true of all the responses.
In this episode, you'll discover what that skill is but you must be patient for it to be revealed. If you're not, you'll miss it.
Here is where you can secure your FREE COPY of The Emotelligent Leader: Succeed Where Others Failed.

+++ LEADERSHIP TO THE SKY +++
Suppose you were able to discover the key or keys enabling you to take your leadership to the next level and beyond, would that be something that interests you?
Suppose I told you that you are one skill away from that, would you want to know:
1. What that skill is?
2. How to put that skill to work for you?
I thought you would.
So I prepared this episode with you in mind. But there's more in this episode than just the how-tos.
There is a new segment of the show that was introduced today, which I believe you'll find interesting. The thought of including it came to me as I pondered on how to give you more value. Find out what it is by listening to the show (see link below).

+++ WARM UP YOUR VOCALS +++
Wait a minute now! Are you advocating more narcissism than we already have in some leaders? This is so egotistical. Why would a leader want to have his/her people sing their praise?
Hold your horses, my friend. Don't get overheated and blow your gasket. [smile]
When a leader is having his or her people sing their praise, it means one thing and that is what you'll discover by listening to this episode.
There is also a surprising offer made towards the end that you will be singing my praise after hearing it. At least, I hope so. [smile again]

+++ SHOW THOSE WHITE ENAMELS +++
Imagine you as a leader, not smiling. What do you think the mood of the environment will be? What do you think will be projected onto your team members?
Lastly, what are the chances you will succeed with your team?
Your answer to the last question should be zero.
In this episode, you'll discover the tie-in with a lack of smile and leadership success.

+++ NEVER HAVE A BAD DAY AGAIN +++
What if it was possible to never have a bad day again at work, would you want to know how? Before you write this off as nonsense and impossible, I want you to at least approach listening to this episode with an open mind.
One of the things I talk about in my new book: The Emotelligent Leader - Succeed Where Others Failed, is that Emotelligent leaders stay open to learning. A leader who has a fixed mindset versus a growth mindset is doom to fail.
In this episode you will discover what it takes to position yourself to almost never have a bad day at work again.

+++ DON'T BE AN OSTRICH +++
Emotelligent leaders are self aware enough to know when they are getting a 100% buy-in from their people and when they are not. They will quickly agree that they are constantly looking for ways to get their team "on board."
Unfortunately some leaders would rather keep their head in the sand and act as if all is well, when the numbers say otherwise. One thing I know and that is, numbers don't lie.
So, what do we as leaders do when we acknowledge the problems we experience within the workplace?
In this episode you will hear the 5 familiar leadership problems almost all leaders face. See which ones you experience and what to do about it.

+++ I COULD JUST KICK MYSELF +++
Have you ever not said or done something, only to walk away wishing you had? I have on more than one occasion.
It's one of the more stressful things I do because it now consumes my energy, which could have been avoided. I "kick" myself wishing I had addressed the problem/issue while I had a chance.
Why do we do this to ourselves?
In this episode, I share some of my thoughts and experiences but most importantly, what you can do to avoid this behavior.

+++ EARLY WARNING SIGNS +++
Don't you wish you knew what early warning signs to always look in different situation so that you could do something about it? I know that there are somethings outside our control that we are helpless in doing much to stop it, but we can prepare ourselves, if we know.
One of the things I coach people to do is create two imaginary buckets and label one, controllable and the other, uncontrollable. I then ask them to separate what they are experiencing and put them in appropriate buckets. Once they do that, they only spend their time and energy on the controllable bucket.
In this episode, I share about my heart surgery and early warning signs as it relates to leadership and team dysfunction.

+++ CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM +++
What is constructive about it?
I cannot recall a time when someone said they were giving me constructive criticism where it ever felt constructive. Sometimes, in the end, it was helpful but it just didn't feel that way at the beginning.
I would immediately brace myself for what was coming.
What if we could find a better way of phrasing what we do instead of constructive criticism?
In this episode, I share the alternative.

+++ SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO +++
There are times when we must disagree with even the most articulate, knowledgeable, charismatic expert. Why? They are not God. They are not all-knowing and can make mistakes, which even includes the Pope.
I personally don't want everyone to agree with me and neither should you.
Simon Sinek is seen as an elite expert in the areas of leadership and social matters. He has a very large fan base, which he has earned and rightly so. I'm one of them.
However, he recently made a statement on leadership that I had to take an issue with.
You can hear it all in this episode. I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter.
