A whole vibe! This episode was so much fun and I had a blast talking with my partner in crime Dana Herndon!
Dana is the principal at Higher Image Management a full-service marketing agency that specializes in public relations, event production, media exposure, communication strategy, and social media.
Her most recent event included the collaborative success of Alaska Fashion Week held the first week of May that brought international designers, models, and indigenous brands from across the state of Alaska to the capital city of Juneau.
When Dana is not killing it as an entrepreneurial powerhouse, she is excelling as the Regional Director for the US Senate cultivating and maintaining professional relationships with business leaders, tribal governments, and city officials throughout Alaska.
Diabetes. What is, how does it work, who does it effect? Well, in this episode I definitely learned what it means to live with it and how it’s much deeper than just bad diet and needles. My friend Erin sits down with me today and we discuss what it meant for her to be in a military service academy seemingly healthy and “normal” and be diagnosed with Diabetes at age 19. I have to say I have a new found respect for folks born with this autoimmune disease and what it takes for them to maintain their health. This platform is for the people and it’s a honor to have folks share their life journey in hopes to bring knowledge and healthy debates to a larger stage.

We ran the gauntlet on this one. Most of my friends did not grow up with both of their parents. Some due to divorce, or a parent passing away suddenly, their parents not seeing eye to eye from the beginning, or some other circumstance. That has certainly shaped us in ways that differ from what some may consider ideal or the "norm". However, it has also given us pause to look at our own relationships and take caution in finding life partners or throttle us to be fixers when we should have been looking for companionship. This conversation certainly went through many levels of life experiences and I think everyone can relate to a bit of one of our stories. My brothers Tru Heru, Jeremy, and Larry share their stories of life, love, and pain. Join us.
This episode I sit down with the powerful brother Raki Ap as he details the unjust occupation of his homeland West Papua and the neocolonialism that his people are facing at the hands of the Indonesian government. We speak on the history of how West Papua came to be in the state that it’s currently in and how his families loss of his father at the hands of Indonesian security forces motivates his work today. As many island nations are being direly affected by climate change, he goes in-depth on his work at the UN representing climate change initiatives that aim to eliminate wasteful and environmentally toxic practices and replace those practices with industries that thrive on the principles of balance and sustainably. It was an honor to speak with this brother If you want to learn more about the movement happening to liberate west West Papua more information can be found at the link below.
