Today I sit down with the amazing Chala! Chala is a prior Peace Corps volunteer who spent her time aiding in farm work in the African nation Zambia. That is until the global pandemic hit and she and her team were forced to return back to the United States. That didn't stop her or her counterparts love for Zambia or their desire to keep working to help those in the community in which they served. She is a part of the organization Ukupapa that creates bags made and designed by local Zambians who help children orphaned mostly due to HIV/AIDS. Their work helps build schools, create job opportunities, and stimulate the local economy. All proceeds are completely given to aid those folks in need. Check out our show and the Ukupapa store and social media page at the link below.
