Welcome back for another can’t-miss episode of The Krusty Kast! The Walleye Run is fast approaching, and who better to get us ready than the pros at Maumee Bait and Tackle?

This marks our second annual Walleye Run preview with Maumee Bait and Tackle, and this time, Mario joins the fun alongside Buckshot and our special guest Josh Bloomfield. We’re talking all things walleye in the “Walleye Capital of the World,” covering everything from the best rods, lines, and hooks to some insider tips—yes, Mario even made us spill a secret spot!

We recorded this episode live at Maumee Bait and Tackle, so when Mario and Buckshot had to step away for a bit to (actually) work, Josh and I kept the conversation rolling. We not only dove deeper into the walleye run but also tackled turkey season, which is just around the corner. Josh has some big plans to bag that perfect turkey this year, and we can’t wait to see how it turns out.

Last week Brian took us through the process of deciding to go on an elk hunt in Colorado, and now this week we dig deep into the hunt!

Brian describes everything about the hunt as it was a bucket list trip he remembered every detail! From not packing a warm enough sleeping bag, being too cold to cook, and running into other hunters. He does a great job at painting the picture of what this trip looked like!

I wanted to sit down with these guys as they have done a lot of outdoor activities since we last talked. From bowfishing, dog training, and pigeon raising we have a lot to catch up on!

Brad and Tanner both agree you need to start practicing your duck and goose calling sooner than later. So Tanner walks through how to tune, and with the help of my bad calling Tanner and Brad walkthrough what different calls can do and how they can help a younger caller.
