We near the end of Horrortober Down Under with a look at one of Australia's great lost films and a terrifying look at the Outback: Wake in Fright. Starring Gary Bond as a schoolteacher attempting to return home from the Outback who gets more than he bargained for. Along the way, he goes "full native" and learns the truth about the less-traveled side of Australia. It's a wild journey through the Australian outback; prepare yourself. On Seagal's Trevor Gumbel and Dark Destination's Father Malone joins Chris to talk about the film, its effect on cinema, and a certain kangaroo hunt.

  • Razorback
We continue Horrortober Down Under with a look at Razorback, a film that's uniquely Australian and features one of cinema's great menace's: a giant hog. Starring Gregory Harrison as an American who ventures to Australia to track down his missing wife who happened to get eaten by the titular beast, it's a creature feature in the vein of Jaws, but on land. It's a tonal mess that never really decides on a tone and, unfortunately, suffers for it. Pulp Serenade's Cullen Gallagher and DC Titan's writer Richard Hatem joins Chris to talk about the film, why there aren't more hog films, and what to do if 30 to 50 feral hogs invade your land.

  • Thirst (1979)
With You've Never Seen September in the rearview mirror, we kick off the 6th annual Horrortober with a focus on Aussie horror films and a look at Thirst, an Australian take on vampires. Starring Chantal Contouri, the film follows her as the descendant of Elizabeth Bathory, one of history's most infamous "vampires" as a shadowy organization attempts to gaslight her into joining them. It's an interesting film that has some good ideas but doesn't exactly stick the landing. The Projection Booth's Mike White and Diabolique's Heather Drain join Chris to talk about the film, the usage of vampire lore, and Bathory's influence on pop culture.

  • Earth Girls Are Easy
We end You've Never Seen September with a film that stars Geena Davis and Jeff Goldblum once again, except this time, Goldblum is a fuzzy alien: Earth Girls are Easy. The film follows three aliens played by Goldblum, Jim Carrey, and Damon Wayans as they attempt to fix their spaceship with the help of lovelorn Geena Davis. It's a musical romp unlike anything you've ever seen. Diabolique's Heather Drain and OughtFiveFilm's Father Malone join Chris to talk about the film, its music, and its place in cult film canon.

  • Beetlejuice
You've Never Seen September nears its conclusion with a film that we guarantee you've seen if not heard of, the one and only Beetlejuice. Starring Michael Keaton as the titular bio-exorcist, the film follows the recently deceased couple of Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin as they attempt to rid their home of pesky yuppies. In a moment of desperation, they turn to the ghost with most, Beetlejuice who turns their afterlives upside down. Oughtfive Film's Father Malone and Scary Stories We Tell's Jess Byard join Chris to talk about the film, its place in Burton's catalog, and Keaton's performance.

  • The Fly
You've Never Seen September continues with a look at a film that puts the ick in icky and a fly in Jeff Goldblum: The Fly. Starring the aforementioned Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis, the two play Seth Brundle and Veronica Quaife, a scientist and the journalist tasked with discovering the technology he's invented. This invention ends up having horrible consequences on both of their lives, including turning one of them into an abomination of science. DC Titan's Richard Hatem and award-winning screenwriter Maggie the Odd join Chris to talk about the film's central relationship, the impressive special effects, and vomit drop.

  • Transylvania 6-5000
You've Never Seen September continues with a look at yet another film featuring Geena Davis; however, she's criminally wasted in the Dow Chemical Company-produced Transylvania 6-5000. Starring Jeff Goldblum and Ed Begley Jr. as two intrepid reporters who are tasked with going to Transylvania to find out if found footage of Frankenstein is real, and if it is, what the monster is up to. Once they arrive, the story goes completely off the rails with "vampires," "wolfmen," and not a laugh throughout the film. The Projection Booth's Mike White and OughtFiveFilm's Father Malone join Chris to talk about the film, it's lack of comedy and Geena Davis' outfit.

  • Fletch
This You've Never Seen September has a focus on Geena Davis' career in the '80 and we kick off the month with a look at one of Chris' favorite films of all time and a true comedy classic: Fletch. Starring Chevy Chase as the titular investigative journalist, he must solve a case of beachfront drug dealers while also trying to figure out why a prominent businessman has hired him to kill him. It's a sun-soaked neo-noir film that is based on a book by Gregory McDonald but changes the character to better suit Chase's comedy styles. Pulp Serenade's Cullen Gallagher joins Chris to talk about the film, it's comedy style and all the Fletch films that never were.

  • Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge
We end Indian Cinema August with a look at one of the most popular, longest-running films in Indian cinema history: Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol as two star-crossed lovers who meet, fall in love, and then they are separated due to their different familial backgrounds. SRK then must find a way to not only win back Kajol but also win over her extremely conservative family. It's everything you've ever heard a Bollywood film is and more. Director Maggie the Odd and Scary Stories We Tell's Jess Byard joins Chris to talk about the film, it's amazing musical numbers, and why American audiences should watch it.

  • Parinda
We near the end of Indian Cinema August with a drastic departure from the month's previous films as it plays in the sandbox of the crime genre: Parinda. Starring Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff as two brothers on different sides of the law, it follows Kapoor's Karan's return to India only to find his brother, Shroff's Kishan, has been supporting him through a life of crime. It's a Mumbai underworld film that still features all the expected tenets of Indian cinema. The Projection Booth's Mike White joins Chris to talk about the heartbreaking film, the musical numbers, and how it fares against others in the genre.
