  • Get Out
Chris and Eric talk Jordan Peele's directorial horror debut Get Out. The film stars Daniel Kaluuya as Chris who goes to visit his girlfriend's family in the country only to find out everything is not as it seems. It's one hell of a directorial debut and also a really well-done horror film that harkens back to Rosemary's Baby in more ways than one.

  • Idiocracy
Chris is joined by frequent guest Candace Perez and Tactical Girls director Matt Campagna talk Mike Judge's Idiocracy, a film that has become shockingly relevant in 2017. The film stars Luke Wilson as the amazingly average Joe Bauer, a soldier who is part of an experiment that accidentally sends him too far into the future. A future where humanity has gone backward and become stupid; stupider than one could even imagine…

  • End of Days
It's our 200th episode and what better way to celebrate the occasion than watching one of Arnold Schwarzenegger's worst films End of Days with Mike White, host of The Projection Booth. Schwarzenegger takes on Gabriel Byrne's scenery-chewing as everyone's fallen angel in this stinker of a film that begs the question: how do not have Arnold fighting the Dark Lord with a rocket launcher in the closing minutes of your film? That answer and more inside!

  • Split
We take a break from True Crime Month to talk about M. Night Shyamalan's newest film that, surprise, isn't terrible: Split. It stars James McAvoy as Kevin Crumb, a man with 24 split personalities who kidnaps three girls for a nefarious purpose. It's a return to form for the director and an award-worthy performance from McAvoy.

  • Snowtown
True Crime Month continues with a look at Justin Kurzel's first cinematic foray that landed him the job directing Assassin's Creed, Snowtown. The film follows Jamie as he is drawn into the charismatic orbit of John Bunting, a homophobic vigilante looking to dole out justice to Australia's pedophiles and homosexuals. It's an emotional rollercoaster ride that doesn't let up and is hard to watch at times.

  • The Town that Dreaded Sundown (2014)
True Crime Month chugs along with a look at the meta-sequel to The Town that Dreaded Sundown which focuses on the return of the Phantom Killer to the sleepy town of Texarkana. Directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, it's a stylish sequel to the original docu-drama that was overlooked when it was released in 2014.

  • Zodiac
It's the first Kulturecast of 2017, and Chris is joined by Wovoka's guitarist Eric Kniss to talk San Francisco, pacing, and serial killers as they analyze David Fincher's Zodiac along with an interview with John Lacy (Zodiac) and Paul Schulze (Sandy Panzarella) at 28:45 and 1:14:00. The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey Jr., and Mark Ruffalo as three men drawn into the case that rocked the Bay Area and their shared obsession to find the Zodiac Killer. It's a character-driven look at the toll that serial killers have on those who pursue them.

  • Super Mario Bros.
We open up the vaults to bring you our thoughts on the original video game movie: Super Mario Bros. Recorded last year, Chris is joined by Zach and Oscar to analyze one of the most infamous films in Hollywood. Based off the video game of the same name, the film is a nonsensical mess featuring two of the most iconic characters in video game history, Mario and Luigi.
