The dog days of summer begin, and the new films that might generate a lot of interest begin to wane, but we persevere with another of our patented Roll Your Own Top 5 productions. An international group of LAMBs , generate individual top five lists of Theaters, Board Games, Frankenheimer films, Classic Literature Story Origins and Movie Posters. How could you say no to that?  Plus you get some Rants, Raves, and Reviews. This is a couple of hours with your friends that you will be glad you listened to.

  • Episode 649: Lambcast #646 NOPE

On their way to the podcast, two of our guests apparently looked up against all the advice of OJ Haywood, and they never made it to the show. Richard and Lisa however, carry on and talk about the new Jordan Peele horror film and they have a more general discussion about horror movies as well. So don't stand there waiting for the metal probe. No special equipment from Fry's is required. Listen here or download now.

  • Episode 648: Lambcast #645 Stand By Me MOTM

Five LAMBs go for a hike to see a dead body, along the way we fear vomit, cheer Corey Feldman and Jeer Jay for not caring for this movie. Lisa Leaheey takes us on a nostalgic journey to both 1959 and 1986, as we look at Director Rob Reiner's first attempt at adapting a Stephen King story to the screen. We are joined by a first time member of the LAMBcast, and there is a game. So stop looking for your pennies, and bring a comb as we explore this beloved film and enjoy some great conversation.

  • Episode 647: Lambcast #644 Thor Love and Thunder

It's been hardly anytime at all since our last MCU film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has only been in theaters 66 days, but already we seem to be ready for another comic book movie. This week, the stand alone film features Thor, in a chapter directed by Taika Waititi who had previously done "Ragnarok".  We have a group of Gods taking a break from being worshipped on their home sites, to talk about this film. There are three comic book experts and two guys who last read comic books fifty or so years ago, and we head to town to cover "Thor Love and Thunder". Come have a listen, If you don't, you won't be invited to the Orgy!

  • Episode 644: Lambcast #643 July 4th Independence Day Suggestions

MovieRob joins Richard in collecting a couple of top ten lists for movie watching on the long July 4th Weekend. The choices are nationalistic and patriotic, but everyone is welcome to listen and feel free to share your own lists in the comments. Light up your fireworks, heat up the grill and get your ROKU/Blu-Ray/DVD/Laserdisc/VHS/Streaming service set up for some flag waving films.

  • Episode 646: Lambcast #642 Elvis

The King of Rock and Roll still seems to have enough influence to get a major motion picture of his life made and for it to be challenging for the top of the box office weekend. Does the film deserve this attention, is it worthy of the subject, or are we just getting something for Baz Luhrmann to exercise his impulses on? These and other questions get debated and not entirely settled in this week's Lambcast. "Three Old Men and a Lady" is not the title of an old Tom Selleck comedy, but it could be the title for this show, as Richard is joined by Howard, James and Amanda to sing the praises and question suspicious minds over the latest musical biopic.

  • Episode 643: Lambcast #641 Cléo from 5 to 7 MOTM

In June our MOTM is directed specifically at a female directed film. What would be more appropriate than the most popular film, directed by someone many consider to be the most important woman director in film history Agnès Varda? "Cléo from 5 to 7" was ranked as the second best female directed film of all time behind only "The Piano" from Jane Campion. The Lambs have a thoughtful, detailed conversation on a film without much plot but which does have a lot to say. You don't have to put on your snob thinking cap just because the movie is in French, we sure didn't, but you will get a chance to think about a lot of things when you listen to us and you watch this movie.

  • Episode 642: Lambcast #640 Jurassic World Dominion

This time we don't need to go back to the park to see the dinosaurs, they are coming to us, at least that is what we are promised, but somehow we end up back at a high tech Dinosaur preserve, repeating a lot of the same beats as earlier films. With a slightly expanded cast this week, the LAMB returns to the Jurassic World to take on "Dominion" the next film in the Jurassic Park/World Franchise. We have a great conversation about the choices made in Colin Trevorrow's  storylines for the new film. There is some mocking, some admiration and a lot of dinosaur talk in this week's conversation. So RUN!... to your favorite device and listen to the show.
