On today's Israel Uncensored with Josh Hasten, Josh slams the Zoom Knesset address given yesterday by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Zelensky claimed Israel wasn't doing enough to help his country, drew Holocaust comparisons between the current situation and Hitler's plan to exterminate the Jewish People, and also ignored Ukrainian complicity during the Shoah. Josh said that's it's one thing to sympathize with the Ukrainians who are suffering under Russia's bombardments and another to downplay Israel's vast humanitarian efforts, compare what's going on to the Holocaust, while ignoring Ukrainian atrocities during that period.

On this week's Israel Uncensored, Josh Hasten describes his worldwind mission to Romania with the United Hatzalah organization. The mission was threefold - to drop off Hatzalah emergency volunteers so that they could make their way to the Ukrainian/Moldovan border to assist the refugees fleeing the war in the Ukraine, to drop off tons of humanitarian equipment, and to bring 100 refugees back to Israel, may of whom will be making Aliyah to the Jewish State.

Gil Hoffman, political correspondent and analyst for the Jerusalem Post for the past 25 years, was on the Ukrainian-Moldavian border a few days ago. He speaks with Eve Harow about the increasingly terrible situation, the fear, the tremendous help being given to the refugees and the faith and hope he witnessed. Chabad, the International Federation of Christians and Jews who sponsored his trip, IsraAid, Moldavians, Germans and others are working around the clock to alleviate the crisis. There’s no reason for this war; if Israel Prime Minister Naftali Bennett can help then let’s wish him well. Thousands are suddenly without homes or money and most countries are doing nothing to help. Lesson to be learned? No doubt.

On today's Israel Uncensored with Josh Hasten, an interview with some of the participants on this year's Chai Lifeline "Wish at the Wall," trip to Israel. After two years of Covid-19 cancellations, a group of childhood cancer survivors are experiencing Israel on a jam-packed 10-day expedition. One of the highlights is a visit to the Western Wall in Jerusalem where the youth, who each brought along a parent, will celebrate their health.

Before we can discuss the outbreak of war between Israel and the PLO in Lebanon, we must lay out the political context. As Yasser Arafat and his Palestinian liberation army were massing troops along the border, and the city of Kiryat Shemona was facing bombardment, Prime Minister Menachem Begin visited US President Ronald Reagan in Washington to solidify a US-Israel relationship - a goal made more complicated by Reagan's cabinet. American envoy to the Middle East Philip Habib will fight to keep the border from boiling over, but his efforts will come to an end with the assassination attempt against Israeli ambassador Shlomo Argov in 1982.
