Returning to school is a bit of normalcy, at least when it used to happen at the end of summer. But it's a bigger deal now, as the pandemic is becoming less of a concern, and the Homelanders are returning, in some cases, for the first time in a year.

(It's also true, though, that children change so much year to year that their lives are already changing frequently, so a year like this might not be as difficult as for adults. Maybe...)

Arclight Theaters, the upscale movie theater chain that included the Cinerama Dome among its locations, will not be re-opening in the post-covid world. This calm period in Jurassic Park - where everyone but Ian Malcolm thinks the situation is  getting better -  has kept coming to mind over the last year.  

Go figure.

Some quick thoughts on a year after the end of the first month where people started taking COVID-19 seriously. And what it may have meant at the start that may be worth considering near the end.

Perhaps not everyone felt this way - perhaps it was simply the thoughts of someone recently out of work, able to afford to think a little differently about the world for a few weeks. Because of course it wouldn't be longer than that...
