Beau Henderson is The RichLife Guy!

Have you ever felt like you're sleep walking through life and there's supposed to be a whole lot more than what you're actually experiencing?

What about a life that's more than just going to work to pay the bills, a life with plenty of time to do the things you really want to do … actually have time to spend with the people that you love, a life that makes a difference? A life FILLED with PEACE of MIND?

Beau is a friend of mine from Atlanta, Ga. Beau and I were in a BNI (Business Networking International) chapter together for a couple years where he consistently exhibited the BNI philosophy of "Givers Gain". Beau is a Financial Planner that I have used and recommend to my family and friends.

Beau and I had lunch one day and he was explaining the RichLife to me and how he had been moved to share this message with people. Since then, Beau has become a successful Author, Speaker and a syndicated Radio Show Host.

He writes and speaks internationally helping people create success with both money and life.

  • QOD - 8: It's Not About Perfect

    It's Not About Perfect

It's Not about perfect. It's about effort; and when you implement that effort into your life . . . Every Single Day, That's where transformation happens. That's how change occurs. Keep Going. Remember Why You Started.

    This is from The-Iron-Angel.tumbler.com blog.

What she is saying here, is what we do isn't about being perfect. It's putting in the effort and doing it every day that will bring about change, and then a transformation will happen to you. The last part of the quote talks about Keep Going, Remember Why you Started.

[bctt tweet="It's Not about perfect. It's about effort; and when you implement that effort into your life . . . Every Single Day, That's where transformation happens. That's how change occurs. Keep Going. Remember Why You Started. - - The-Iron-Angel"]

When you set your goals, you should always follow the Goal Getting plan of defining the What, The How and The Why. Knowing your why, the reason you are doing what you are doing is what will keep you going when you want to stop, when you want to give up your dream. Always Remember Why You started and you will be able to keep going.

Know What you want to achieve. Know How you are going to get it, what action steps you have to take to achieve it. And, Know WHY! Why did you start it in the first place.

These will keep you going, Keep Going! It doesn't have to be perfect! It has to be done daily! It has to be thought of daily. Transformation will happen, Change will Occur.

  • QOD-007: Aaron Walker – Can't Couldn't Do It, Could Did it All

    I Think I Can, I Think I Can!
    [app_audio src="http://traffic.libsyn.com/goalgettingpodcast/GGP_QOD_-_Cant_couldnt_do_it_-_Aaron_Walker.mp3"]

Today's Quote of the Day is from Aaron Walker, my guest on Goal Getting Podcast Episode 18. Aaron's quote is from his Mom, Nanny Lou, and he keeps this on the wall of his office:

Can't couldn't do it. Could did it all!
    -- Nanny Lou, (Aaron's Mom)

That quote has led Aaron to be a very successful entrepreneur. Can't isn't a word he uses in his vocabulary. And if you want to be successful at any of your goals Can't shouldn't be in yours either.

I remember growing up and reading the book, The Little Engine That Could, originally published in 1930. The theme of the story is a long train is stranded because none of the big engines would try to take it up and over the big hill. The little engine volunteers for the job and As it was trying to get up the high hill and struggling with the large, long train behind it, it keeps repeating,

    "I Think I Can, I Think I Can, I Think I Can . . . And it does!

It succeeded when others wouldn't even try.

So, The moral of the story is what Aaron's Mom, Nanny Lou taught Aaron, Can't Couldn't Do it, Could Did It All. Thanks Nanny Lou for giving Aaron a great inspiration as a child.

There are two lessons to this and the story of The Little Train That Could.
    Volunteer For Stuff
The first one is that to be great, you have to be willing to volunteer for things.

Back when I was young, I often had people tell me "Never volunteer for anything." When I joined the Army National Guard at 18, that was the same advice many people that I knew told me as well.

I think that is bad advice if you want to be successful. If you want to be successful and you want to get the opportunities to be great, you have take the steps to get there. Which brings me to the other lesson.
    Take Action
If you want to be successful, you have to take ACTION. If you don't start moving, you will never make it up a hill. It doesn't matter how
big, how much power you have, how smart you are. If you don't ACT, if you don't Take the first Step!, You won't achieve!

I wanted to be the next Dana Carvey. This was my ultimate goal. If I ever cut into a birthday cake and made a wish, I would wish to be on 'Saturday Night Live.' If I threw a coin into a fountain, I would wish to be on 'Saturday Night Live.' If I saw a shooting star, I would wish to be on 'Saturday Night Live.'  -- Jimmy Fallon

If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on.

    Don't Settle
Don't settle! That is one of the big takeaways from this quote. Keep looking until you find what you are looking for. You will know it when you do.  And when you do, it will continue to get better and better!

Tom Landry, the great NFL Football coach led the Dallas Cowboys to multiple Super Bowl Championships. One of the most successful football coaches, he certainly knew how to achieve his goals.

As Tom Landry Says, "Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan."

Once you have the What, decide on The How, and stick with that plan until you achieve your goal.
