We are preparing teenagers for a world that no longer exists.

We need to value persons even when our positions are in tension.

We have to live in the tension. Too often to eliminate the anxiety the tension brings, we eliminate the tension by moving to one side of the other.

We have to have a secure environment before students are comfortable engaging in the work of developing who they are.

It's hard to be challenged if you don't feel safe.
