The Level Up English Podcast

I think we all have love-hate relationships with the news these days, don't we?

Some of us are addicted to watching and it harms our mental health, while others have cut it out completely. Let's discuss this topic today while looking at lots of useful vocabulary.

Welcome to the very first Saturday episode of the podcast! This is a reaction episode where I respond to a Reddit post on r/CasualUK talking about things we find embarrassing that we probably shouldn't.

I'd love to hear your feedback! Do you like the topic? Are you happy with an extra episode. Feel free to get in touch and let me know.

I often get people asking me to speak more slowly or sometimes to speed up! I can't please everyone, but in this episode, I talk about the benefits of slow and natural English and which might be best for you.

I also talk about my own speaking speed and whether that could help you too.

Teacher Zdenek joined me for a chat about life experiences. We start by discussing his hobbies of football and board games, and then go into some big accomplishments and memories. We explore this topic deeper on Friday's Member's Podcast too.

I thought it would be a nice time to give a 2022 update on my current language learning routine and what my daily schedule looks like. Hopefully it gives you some ideas on how you can shape your own routines and if there's anything you'd like to tweak or add.

I talk about my morning and afternoon routines, how many languages I"m learning, my levels in each one, and even give you some examples of my speaking them!

Students often ask me how they can stop translating in their head from English into their native language while talking. This is a fantastic question and I thought it's best to respond to this in a full episode today. Can you relate to this?
