I am still walking on air after this conversation! Sharon McMahon is America's Government teacher, a crowd-funding wiz, a top rated podcast host, an award winning internet personality, and all around incredible human. Really the list could go on! She graciously joined me in a conversation about how she stepped into the life she was made for. How it required her to align with a higher purpose that was all her own, stepping into her gifting, and refusing to be distracted. We also talk about the importance of relationship, and actually having friendships with people you disagree with. It takes courage to check your opinions at the door in order to understand and care for others. Sharon exemplifies this in her work! This conversation is not one to miss because Sharon simply doesn't miss!!!

Could you use a little HOPE? My guests are experts on Cultivating HOPE in kids, teens, veterans, and anyone who needs it! Rick Yarosh and Tom Murphy run Sweethearts and Heroes, a game-changing organization seeking to bring awareness of the fear and anxiety many of our youth experience on a daily basis. I loved every moment of this conversation! Rick and Tom offer such a refreshing approach to addressing the challenges young people (and let's be honest, all people) face today. For them HOPE means, Hold On Possibilities Exist. What a great message! Also, Rick's story of heroism, tragedy, and healing is certain to grip you as much as it did me. I can't wait for you to hear this conversation, let's dive in!

This week I talk about rising above barriers with my new friend Ash Brown. Ash was gracious enough to share her story and experiences with marginalization and breaking through barriers. As a woman in corporate America, I am all too familiar with gender discrimination. As an African American woman, Ash of course has had a whole other dimension to endure. We share candidly and openly about what marginalization has done to us and more importantly, the negative impact it can have on teams and communities as a whole. Let's dive in!
Ash Brown is a gifted American producer, blogger, speaker, radio personality, event emcee, and the host of the Ash Said It Show.

This week Rich Kirkpatrick and I have an very thought provoking conversation about creativity's role in human thriving. We dive into our own personal creative journeys, creativity in leadership, and the neuroscience behind it all. I even have a minor epiphany about the role creativity plays in gaining clarity. I am so excited to share this conversation with my daughter, Selah Penny! We talk about my book, The Bracelet which is dedicated to her. And we dive into how the language of identity, tire swing, time under the stars, and bracelets has become a part of our family dynamic and friendships. Selah also shares about her experience in college where rest and personal time are so counter-cultural, but so needed. This is definitely one of my favorite conversations and I hope you enjoy it!

How are you galvanizing hope and passion in your life? Dr Lisa Smith and I had such a fascinating conversation about how she teaches college students about stepping into the life they're made for through literature and historical figures who did amazing things with their own lives. We also discuss how spirituality, hope, and passion can a driving force to find your clarity, confidence and courage. I am not sure I have had a guest who was more familiar and aligned with the content of my book and I think you are going to love hearing from her!
Dr Lisa Smith is a Professor at Pepperdine University as well as a writer, and speaker. She is the author of three books including the forthcoming book Hammer and Fire: Lessons on Spiritual Passion from the Writings and Life of George Whitfield

I want to share with you a powerful exercise I lead people through on my retreats and corporate events called Inviting and Rejecting. What you invite in to your mind and heart makes a big difference in how you live. Equally, what you reject helps you create intentional spaces that block out the things you don't want to be part of your life. And more importantly, when you name it out loud, you give power to what you're inviting in! You have a choice with how you show up in the world. And what spaces you create for yourself and others. I share few examples of how this has played out for my clients and I get vulnerable about times when this tool was invaluable for me personally! It's a powerful tool for so many contexts. So take a listen and then think about what you are inviting and rejecting in your life. Then say it out loud!

I am so pleased to share my conversation with Christian B. Aaron about slowing down to find wellness. Holistic wellness is a buzzword that can seem a bit unattainable. How do you design your life to create wellness in mind, body, and spirit? Christian and I talk about some practical ways to slow down your life and do regular check-ins with yourself in order to find the peace and harmony we all need. So often, the rat-race pace of life can cause us to burn out and break down. Slowing down can feel counter-intuitive. But it is so necessary to go after the life you are made for!
Christian is an Author, Preacher, Nurse, and Certified Health Coach, and the host of the Rising with Christian Podcast.

Are you successful at what you’re most passionate about? The world runs at a pace that will leave us behind if we don’t keep up. It resists slowing down and the consequence is we don’t take the time to make sure we’re even on the right highway, much less headed toward our chosen destination. I’m so excited for you to listen to my conversation with Sonja Price, a strategic career advisor where we unpack resiliency, rest, and career fulfillment.
