In Episode 86, we discuss spending some time looking back over the year, and not focusing immediately on the upcoming 2020.  I discussion the importance of understand where you stand, checking in, and using your lessons learned to modify your approach. In Episode 85, we discuss a reunion of past co-workers who were all in similar positions two years ago. During this reunion we talked about the good times, the bad, our choice to leave the business and how we were all in a better place. We decide what choices to make, and at times, events are completely out of our control. What we have to remember is that, if you continue to focus, do what's right, in the end...things will ultimately work out. That is what life is about, making choices that tell our past, keep us alive in the present, and will predict our future. 

In episode 84, we discuss the importance of need vs. want when leading and managing change. Understanding the difference between the two, the line in the sand, can greatly impact your decisions. And if you steer too much toward the want without evaluating the positive and negative impact, it could be detrimental to your decision. Tune-In to learn more about Want vs. Need. 

In Episode 83, I first and foremost thank people relating to this podcast, the listeners, family, friends, etc. The remaining time is spent on items which I said I would follow-up on, from past episodes. One is on reflection; writing in a journal and tracking my time and the second was on my prototyping of returning to school. I talk about the challenge and the benefits of these activities, and outcomes. Happy Thanksgiving!

We discuss simple, related methodologies (simplified tools) you can follow to use in your personal or professional life. We discussion, the PMI phases, PDCA, and the ADDIE model. All three can be used, specifically when you are just starting out. You don't need to know the granular details, but the basics can greatly improve your success in work, business, and life. 

Unedited - We discuss how data a modify your strategy; how it's good, bad, and overall the choice of the collector. 

In Episode 80, the conversation stems around a concept I don't practice enough, down time. It's important that for us to work at our highest level, maximize all efforts and ultimately reach success, we must practice with intent that art of doing nothing. It doesn't matter if your nothing is watching a movie or going for a run, just spend time not having to achieve or feel accomplished. Rest, relax, and for more than an hour. Tune-in for more on doing nothing, and how this allow our brain to relax and reset. 

Episode 79, Designing Your Life - Prototyping II focuses on my quest for the next phase of life. This, as stated, is not easy work. It takes time and energy to figure out if you are headed down the right path. Time well worth spending. I discuss my next upcoming prototyping and all the ways in which I will go about collecting feedback and data to make sure that the future decision is the right decision. I also touch on how not doing this work has proved challenging, including the failure at such past choices. 

Episode 78, discusses the Designing Your Life (DYL) prototyping Phase, where you start to really get feedback surrounding the plans you want to put in place. It stresses the importance and fun of this phase, but also the hard work. It's the only true way to determine if your plan is worth pursuing. We will spend most of the time, providing examples of what you may learn and what to do with your results.  We just scratch the surface in this first of two episodes on prototyping in DYL. In episode 77, we talk about change implementation, the hardest phase of change. Choice is actually the easier of the two. Throughout we will touch on the change curve, how implementation is cyclic, the ways in which we can improve our success, and alignment of thought and behavior. By far this is where most of us are not successful, and where we need to spend most of our focus working toward our end goal and success.
