My guest today actually gave me an ah-ha moment around 25 years of disordered eating that I have had. 

Justin Janoska is a clinician and the founder of The Autoimmune Revolution - an emerging company that guides women in their healing journey to reverse their autoimmune disease and reproductive disorder naturally with specific attention on Hashimoto’s, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, PCOS, and Endometriosis.

He holds a Master’s in Human Nutrition from The University of Bridgeport but has a very different and unique approach that emphasizes mind-body medicine. Naturally, he continues to advocate for women who struggle with eating disorders, disordered eating, and childhood trauma.

Through his work with clients, he helps them acquire a deeper understanding of how they got here, supports them to be with their pain, and embrace their truth. Ultimately, Justin is deeply committed and, on a mission, to help revolutionize how we address and heal women who are struggling with autoimmunity to eating disorders.

In this episode, Justin breaks down why counting macros is destroying your relationship to food as well as the importance of tuning into to yourself. He asks the question, why the F@*K are you even dieting and when you start thinking about that answer you may have some ah-ha moments of your own.

I have an amazing guest on this episode all the way from South Africa! Her name is Melissa Adams and she is the definition of living a limitless life if you ask me.

Born and raised in South Africa JHB, she was diagnosed with lupus when she was only 16 yrs old and lived a rather defeated life for 20 yrs.

Although she has completed her bachelors degree in Business as well as in honours at the age of 37 she decided to change all that and focus on nutrition and fitness, since then she has gained her confidence, she has never felt this great and is ready to take on the world as a qualified fitness and nutrition coach helping to educate others on how to overcome the “I can’t” mindset when living with Lupus.
