The Linc Austin Show

Students at Jewett Middle Academy in Winter Haven, Florida, were terrified last week when police officers burst into classrooms with guns drawn.

Was there a shooter at the school?  No.  The police department and school district initiated an 'active shooter' training drill with zero advance notice to teachers or parents.

Parents received text messages from frightened children as the principal ordered the school in "lock-down."

Is this really the best way way to improve school safety?  Linc says no way.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the Department of Justice has been using Cessna aircraft equipped with Stingray-like devices called Dirtboxes that act as fake cell phone towers.  The devices are used like the Stingray units to capture data from the cell phones of supposed "targets."  It's clear that many innocent Americans phone data is being snapped up at the same time.

Republicans have gained majority control of the Senate while maintaining majority position in the House.  In fact, Republicans now have the largest majority of the house in 65 years!

The people have spoken.  The message is clear.  They are tired of Obama acting as a tyrant.  They are tired of NSA spying, American funded terrorists in Syria and Iraq, anti-gun measures, the cover up of Fast & Furious, the IRS being used as a weapon against political enemies, collectivist propaganda where Hillary Clinton tells citizens that businesses don’t create jobs, and, the list goes on.

The American people have awoken and have decided they do not want their Republic destroyed.  There is hope for our nation, yet the hard work has only begun.

God bless the United States of America.

Ammon Bundy (son of Cliven Bundy) and his daughter experienced intensive screening by the TSA in Phoenix this weekend.  So much screening, in fact, that the two missed their flight.

Ammon's boarding pass was marked with the code "SSSS" which stands for Secondary Security Screening Selection.  The designation flags you for extra screening and prohibits you from checking in online or using a self-printed boarding pass.

Ammon Bundy had this to say reflecting on the situation:  “WOW, Harry Reid really does have me tagged in the federal database as a Domestic Terrorist."

Liberty is one of the key tenets in the foundation of our republic.  Our instinct is to guard and protect it with all we have.

With the recent announcement that New York and New Jersey are mandating isolation for individuals deemed high risk to Ebola exposure, the topic of a government-ordered quarantine has been the subject of much debate.  Many people fear these orders could be used against political enemies.

In this report, we will take a closer look at why the medical quarantine may actually be the only way to prevent so much of what we fear.

Also covered this report:  Army study shows Ebola is airborne in lower temperatures; the Army is quarantining soldiers who have served in Africa; and, a memo from the State Department outlines plans to bring Ebola-infected foreign citizens into the United States for treatment.

Kaci Hickox was the first individual to be quarantined by the state of New Jersey following the order of Governors Andrew Cuomo and Chris Christie to detain people deemed "high risk" for Ebola exposure.

Nurse Hickox wrote an article posted to Dallasnews.com detailing her horrid experience that all began at Newark Liberty International Airport on Friday.

Following the confirmed Ebola case in NYC of Dr. Craig Spencer, NY Governor Andrew Cuomo and Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey announced a mandatory quarantine for individuals deemed high risk.

Patients who have had the highest level of exposure to the virus will be quarantined at a "government-regulated facility" for 21 days.

Will the quarantine be used in a rational, effective manner that prevents the spread of the deadly virus?  Or, could this be the beginning of a "FEMA camp" scenario that many have feared for so long?

Amber Joy Vinson of Dallas, a second healthcare worker in Dallas, has been diagnosed with Ebola.

Shortly after the announcement, anonymous nurses reported that the Dallas hospital that treated Thomas Duncan was "figuring it out as they went" in regards to what protocol to follow.

We also cover a bizarre Zombie comic book published by the CDC.  The comic seems eerily depict what's in store for our country if the outbreak is not contained.  Read it here:  http://www.cdc.gov/phpr/documents/11_225700_A_Zombie_Final.pdf.

***UPDATE***

CNN Reports:  U.S. troops assisting in Ebola mission may be quarantined - http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/15/us/ebola-us-troops/index.html

We were first told that the 4.000 U.S. troops that President Obama ordered to Liberia would not be in direct contact with Ebola patients.

The Pentagon has now confirmed that some troops will be in direct contact with persons infected with the deadly virus.

The President's decision is irresponsible to say the least.  Many of these troops have zero experience in dealing with a deadly virus such as Ebola.

Why were private contractors not used for this mission?  If our soldiers are infected, will they be used as an Ebola vaccine testing group?
