Join us as Chantal Kilngbeil from the White Estate shares from her extension knowledge of the White family and may you be encouraged and inspired.

It is a key way that they connect with God individually, however this was not always common practice for Christians. Dr. Nanasi speaks with a passion about this important subject as he charts the role of music in religious history.
Just how closely tied was the abolition movement with the early Millerites? Was it possible to believe in the soon return of Jesus and not be involved with the abolition of slavery?Join us for this fascinating podcast with Kevin Burton as he unpacks some research that he has done with his doctoral dissertation into this period of Adventist history. We also unpack some newly released information that he unearthed on the FBI’s surveillance of religious groups, including the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the implications that this has had on our interpretation of Revelation 13 over the last 100 years.
The main figures of the reformation such as Martin Luther, John Calvin and Zwingli are part of what is known as the Magisterial Reformation. There was another wing of the reformation that was known as the Radical Reformation. Dr Dojčin Živadinovic takes us through this very crucial history and shares why we have much more in common with this less known, smaller branch of the reformation than we sometimes think.
The Sabbath has always had a special place in sacred history ever since its introduction in the Garden of Eden. Dr. Michel Lee takes us through some of her historical research into this subject as well as sharing what its like to study history as a young woman today.
Adventism has been plagued with various factions throughout its history with none so prominent as the terms ‘conservative’ and ‘liberal’. ‘Orthodox’ and ‘progressive’ and other labels that have been used, sometimes in a derogatory fashion and sometimes as a badge of honour. Dr. Michael Campbell, unpacks the history of the 1919 Bible Conference, which played a huge, but often understated role in some of these issues in our church today.
Most of the great reformers who significantly impacted religious history had a connection to the main Universities of their day. The Waldenses would send their young people to study in the great universities as missionaries. Thus the role that public university campus ministry has played in religious history must be considered and appreciated. Israel Ramos, Director of CAMPUS in Michigan takes us through this fascinating subject and helps us to understand how vital this ministry is.
The Black American history is one full of both tragedy and triumph and how the Seventh-day Adventist church intersects with this history is fascinating. The late 1800's in the USA was a time of turmoil and civil war with slavery at the heart of the issues fought over. Then in the mid to late 1900's we have the civil rights movement in the USA. During both time periods the Adventist church had to grapple with how to deal with this social and political challenge. At times we can be proud of our history but at other times we did not act as we should have. Join us as Dr. Benjamin Baker, an expert on this subject, unpacks this subject.
Lying at the heart of the Sabbath experience, the weekly study experience and the mission experience is the study and time period known as Sabbath School. It was never supposed to be just a 1 hour slot in the church calendar that served a time filler before the main service but when done correctly it is the lifeblood of the church. Pastor Justin Kim takes us through the history of this institution, how it might have changed and what we need to do to get it back where it needs to be.
