As you may know, Josef has gone back to school to get a degree in history—and this past quarter he got to do a deep dive into Joan of Arc. So today we're letting Josef rant and rave about his new personal Roman Empire (iykyk). Learn anything new about Joan of Arc today? !!!Lore-drop alert!!!

Thank you to Alabaster for finally answering so many questions we have about the Moon and Father Earth… but maybe we have just as many new questions?

Schaffa is maybe a redeemable character?? Maybe??? What do you think?

Today the SibNerds are talking about Chapters 7-9!

We're talking philosophy around the concept of love. We're talking about generational trauma. We're talking about parenting.

And we're waiting for a lore drop from Alabaster.

Do you think Nassun is on her way to a villain era? Is there hope for redemption for Essen?

In honor of Valentine's Day, we're talking about the hottest villains! The idea for this podcast was born from a convo between the SibNerds and their significant others, which was later described as "getting behind the scenes of a podcast episode." Today the SibNerds are talking about Chapters 4-6!

There are some thought-provoking comparisons between Jija and Essun in this week's discussion—and Nassun's perspective of each of her parents is challenging.

The moon is still a mystery—but we think it's about to be Tonkee's problem! Or at least her special interest.

What did you think of that sneaky little interlude? What do we think Hoa is up to?

Today the SibNerds are talking about Chapters 1-3!

Right out the gate, this book answered some of the questions that were left hanging from the end of The Fifth Season… and while the answers weren't what we were hoping for, we can respect them. This may be one of the few series that we feel confident will answer all of our questions.

We have new POV characters, Nassun and Schaffa, and we're curious if we'll have more!

Next time we'll be discussing Chapters 4-6!

Today the SibNerds are talking about the end of The Fifth Season!

The climax and falling action of this award-winning book are nothing short of awe-inspiring. This is the first book we've both given a solid 5/5 to, with no hesitation. It's no wonder why this book received a Hugo Award. We're thrilled to read the sequel, The Obelisk Gate, for our next read along book!

Jemisin Some housekeeping… this is a wrap on Season 3! What to expect for Season 4… we're making some adjustments because life do be life-ing! Josef is going back to school, and it just makes sense that this year we do some scaling. We are going to release a main podcast episode at the top of every month, and a bonus episode on the Patreon in the middle of the month. We may have a few extra episodes sprinkled throughout the year, but you can for sure expect an episode at the beginning of every month! And you can still expect to see the Read Along episodes every other Wednesday! !!! Spoilers ahead for Godzilla: Minus One !!! The SibNerds are unpacking the latest Godzilla flick. We came into it with different levels of experience with the genre of Godzilla movies—but both agree that this movie is not a monster movie at its core. At its core, Godzilla: Minus One is a movie about the human condition, recovering from war and loss and grief, and rebuilding community…and there's a radioactive monster that pops up and wreaks havoc. We want to hear your thoughts about the movie too! Share in the comments! Don't forget to join us for our Read Along of The Fifth Season by: N.K. Jemisin! Anna is reading: - The Fifth Season by: N.K. Today the SibNerds are talking about Chapters 16 - 19!

Syenite and Alabaster are on an island—literally—and learning how to deal with some new freedom.

We also learned a lot about the Guardians and how they function in the world….and it's terrifying.

Next time we'll be discussing the Interlude - the End!
