Matt's shaking it up this week to bring us the whimsical art style of Wes Anderson in 2014 hit The Grand Budapest Hotel. It was a silly and fun time, but some of us don't like silly and fun.

Directed by Wes Anderson. Starring Ralph Fiennes, F. Murray Abraham, and Mathieu Amalric.

"The Grand Budapest Hotel tells of a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars and his friendship with a young employee who becomes his trusted protégé. The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting, the battle for an enormous family fortune and the slow and then sudden upheavals that transformed Europe during the first half of the 20th century."

Zack goes for his second David Fincher pick thus far: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. A murder mystery filled with trauma, sleuthing, and hacking in no particular order. Oh yeah, and a suspicious amount of Nazis.

Directed by David Fincher. Starring Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara, and Christopher Plummer.

"This English-language adaptation of the Swedish novel by Stieg Larsson follows a disgraced journalist, Mikael Blomkvist, as he investigates the disappearance of a weary patriarch’s niece from 40 years ago. As they work together in the investigation, Blomkvist and Salander uncover immense corruption beyond anything they have ever imagined."

Matt picks shoe-in for a high score with 2017's Get Out. Jordan Peele shines in his directorial debut with this horror comedy that is socially relevant, enjoyable, and accessible, all while being one of the most creative films in recent memory.

"Chris and his girlfriend Rose go upstate to visit her parents for the weekend. At first, Chris reads the family’s overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he never could have imagined."

Zack's pick this week reminds him of the days when he was just a young lad wiping his bum clean after watching it. The Shining holds up surprisingly well for a movie that's over 40 years old, despite whack ass Tony.

Directed by Stanley Kubrick. Starring Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duval, and Danny Lloyd.

"Jack Torrance accepts a caretaker job at the Overlook Hotel, where he, along with his wife Wendy and their son Danny, must live isolated from the rest of the world for the winter. But they aren’t prepared for the madness that lurks within."
