In the 1930’s and the 1940’s, mass hysteria reached an all time high in Mattoon, Illinois, when an unknown being or entity was believed to be breaking into homes and carrying out gas attacks. This gas was so debilitating, victims were rendered paralyzed when they came into contact with the gas. Although the Mad Gasser of Mattoon was never captured, we believe we might have the answer to who or what carried out the attacks.
