  • Reverend John Polk – Metaphysical Minister
The Reverend Polk states that the Yahweh of the Hebrew Bible is actually an alien that has been masquerading as the REAL God, and has been pulling the proverbial wool over our collective eyes for most of our short existence. Polk claims that most of humanity is unaware of this ruse, but more and more people are slowly adopting this idea, especially those within the ancient alien camps.

  • Paranormal Sarah Soderlund
Forensic psychologist, author, photographer, musician, mother, fan of the unusual and macabre, the next female supervillain. This week’s guest on The Malliard Report maintains a schedule that could impress even the most dedicated of over workers. So let’s waste no time and dive right on into the fascinating world of Paranormal Sarah Soderlund.

Holding a long time (and almost obsessive) fascination with the strange and unusual, Sarah made it a goal to study what exactly a person’s paranormal experience is composed of. Currently a PsyD student in the field of psychopathy and neuropsychological studies, Sarah also holds a Master’s in Forensic Psychology, a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s Sociology. Utilizing her vastly expansive background, Sarah seeks to “…conduct research within the field of parapsychology and forensic psychology that will allow those suffering from visual or audio anomalies that cannot be explained by rational science to have a place of refuge To help fight the misdiagnosis of paranormal activity and mental illness and to offer a helping hand and open heart to those in need of validation.”

Sarah’s mission (and discussion throughout the show) covers a number of topics that far too often people feel a sense of taboo when speaking about, even in this day and age; the paranormal and mental health. In the neighborhood of mental health discussions, is one that elicits many different ideas for many different people. People often fear that in seeking help for some form of mental health reason (e.g. depression, anxiety, etc.) that a stigma will be attached to them from that point on. This in turn causes people to keep from seeking the help they may need, creating more suffering. Also, like we have discussed many times before, people fear that having any association with the paranormal will label them “crazy” and again, may find themselves continually suffering simply out of fear of useless associations. Sarah continually urges the idea that this mentality needs to be broken, and that people should not be afraid to reach out for the help that they may need. In fact, it is urged to seek any help that you may need without any fear of repercussions. Please, do not let yourself suffer any longer.

This episode covers a lot of ground and very quickly, so trying to cover everything here in the write up would be pointless, plus it is way more fun to listen to right? After you listen to the show (or even while you listen, get your multi-task on!) be sure to keep up to date with all of Sarah’s adventures through her main website www.sarahsoderlund.com , follow her photography adventures here www.capturingtimephotos.com and of course you can follow her on Twitter @ParanormalSarah. • Richie – LiveYourNow.net – positive 2017
2016. Certainly a year that we all will remember for a number of different reasons. While most of us cannot wait to see 2016 in the rearview, there are many people that are putting a strong emphasis on the notion that 2017 will be a seemingly better year through some mystical providence. So the question that is posed is, why do we attribute the fate of the oncoming year by simple chance? Are we not able to guide the direction of our happiness? Are we supposed to simply sit idly by and take what random set of circumstances should happen to place before us?

This week on The Malliard Report, Jim once again reaches out across the pond to have a chat with Richie B of liveyournow.net. Living a fast paced life as a music producer for BBC Radio, Richie appeared to be able to maintain his hectic schedule on the outside but when in reality he suffered from crippling anxiety and OCD. Tired of having the anxiety and obsessive compulsiveness running every aspect of his life, Richie sought to take control of the situation and learn to harness the biological response that anxiety is, and use it in a constructive manner. Richie soon launched his “Live Your Now” campaign in an effort to help himself and others out in a way that not only helps them, but also encourages the spread of positivity to the surrounding environment.

Without giving away the whole show, Richie’s primary message is that most change comes from within. A better year is not simply going to just happen. Your outlook on a situation will not alter itself, YOU have to change it. YOU have to re-focus your energy to bring positivity into your life. By simply re-directing your thoughts to that of being positive in nature, you quickly change your feeling on whatever may be affecting you in a negative way. Richie also believes heavily in the idea that the process of changing one’s outlook is done through small gestures of niceties and spreading positivity to others, and encourages everyone to do this on a regular basis. Hold the door for someone, pay for the cup of coffee for the person behind you, or write an old fashioned letter to a friend or relative. 2017 is an arbitrarily assigned number given to identify a particular cycle around the sun. It holds nothing of significance in of itself. You are the genesis of change in your life and the epicenter of positivity in your sphere of influence. Happy 2017 and remember “Live Positive”.

  • Elaine Matthews Paranormal Investigator
While it is a recurring theme on the show, it is one that needs to be restated; safety and reality of paranormal investigations. In addition to sharing her in depth and long-standing history with the paranormal, this week’s guest Elaine Matthews reiterates the frustrations from paranormal television shows, shares her tips for safety during investigations and discusses the unfortunate stigma that is still associated with having an interest in the paranormal.
Elaine Matthews; writer, investigator, blogger, podcaster, and hardcore home gardener. Elaine keeps an incredibly busy schedule yet found time to sit with Jim and cover the many fascinating projects that she works on. Outside of the paranormal, Elaine has a passion to work with adults that have developmental disabilities. Elaine has written several books that utilize the power of humor to help the learning process. Elaine strongly believes that humor has the ability aid in the process of learning and is an untapped resources that can help out those that have learning impediments.
We all know the layout of the paranormal television shows; history of the place, lights out, and on cue, the activity commences. While this draws in ratings and attention, it like many things that you see on screen, is far from reality. Paranormal investigations are typically a long and drawn out process that often yields very little (if any at times) results. In addition to overabundance of TV “evidence”, the safety aspect of paranormal investigating is seemingly lost in all of the hype. It has been said many times on this show and it will be reiterated, (and this goes for you Urbexers too!) be careful out there! Have a general idea of what the area is like, let someone know that you’ll be there, just keep a good situational awareness about yourselves.
With the mainstream attention of many different paranormal entertainment resources it is absolutely baffling that even in this day in age there is still a stigma with being associated with the paranormal. All too often people refuse to share paranormal experiences or follow an interest in the subject out of fear and ridicule from their peers. Never let something that interests you be hindered by naysayers from the outside. The only thing that should hold you back is you.
This episode is far more than pep talk into chasing your goals. Jim and Elaine discuss their opinions on Ouija boards, growing up in a haunted house, building on Native American burial grounds, and the mystery behind seemingly ethereal music and melodies that will pop into Elaine’s head.
Make sure to pop over to Elaine’s website to keep up with everything that she is working on, read her blogs, and listen to her podcast at www.free-lanceparanormalinvestigations.com. Also check out the new and improved site and leave a review!

  • Josh Heard – Paranormal Investigator
Ghosts in the Bible, The Mothman, lost time, houses with demonic attachments, Andy Kaufman; no this is not a topic overview of my podcast list that may have slipped into the write-up. These are the interests and current pursuits of this week’s guest on The Malliard Report. This week we welcome Josh Heard to the show to discuss the many different topics and subjects that fill his repertoire since his last appearance three years ago.

Andy Kaufman. While steering away as far as possible from the title of “comedian” and for having an absolute total disdain for telling jokes, Kaufman was known for being one of the greatest of all time funnymen. So where does this tie in with a conspiratorial/paranormal enthusiast? (Besides just having a huge appreciation for one of the entertainment world’s greats) While not on the same level as some of the bigger conspiracy theories like faking a moon landing or staging a false terror event, the theory that Andy Kaufman is still alive certainly out there, and Josh is pursuing that idea. Andy was known for pulling over the top, elaborate hoaxes that continually kept his audiences guessing where the line of reality and showmanship was drawn. With “characters” such as Tony Clifton, his wrestling “career”/stunts, and the countless other “incidents” that happened on other television shows, it is not out of the realm of possibility that he would have faked his own death; using it to possibly hold a massive comeback years later, or to simply step out of the lime light that he was not entirely fond of. Either way, Josh believes that he is still out there, and will soon be on the hunt for information.

November 12, 1966. Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Five men who were in the process of digging a grave suddenly have an experience that frightens them to their very core; a large, winged, man-sized creature is seen skimming the tree line. A few days later, multiple reports of a similar creature begin to flood into local authorities. Details become more specific with descriptions of being white in color and having glowing red eyes. Sparking nationwide interest that has led to multiple films, an annual festival, and even a 12-foot statue that was erected in the town square, the legend of The Mothman lives on today. While some write the legend off as nothing more than a drunken encounter with a large Sandhill Crane that was blown way out of proportion, others claim that it is some form of cryptid or alien protecting some unknown location. Whatever it is, it does has a pancake eating contest in its honor and that alone is worthy of some recognition.

Josh is a very entertaining guest that provides some amazing insight to a topic that has been plaguing Jim for some time, (the current state of paranormal television shows) shares his thoughts on paranormal attachments, and answers a question that leaves even him stumped for some time.

Make sure to check out all of Josh Heards hard work and visit his website where you can find his books, films, and podcasts www.joshheard.net and also don’t forget to let us know what you think of this podcast or any of the others in the comments below or via Twitter. Also, if you feel that you are the next “Miss Mothman”, head over to www.mothmanfestival.com and sign yourself to be in the next pageant.

  • Gordon Rupe – Lincoln Assassination
Top off your Kool-Aid cups and strap up your black Nikes folks because this week’s guest covers a litany of topics. From the conspiratorial to the capricious, Gordon Rupe is an author that loves it all. With a growing collection of penned works that all stem from personal interests, Gordon dives into the unusual head first, posing ideas that may sit outside the mainstream school of thought. In his latest work The Wrong Tombstone, Gordon ventures down the rabbit trail that the story of John Wilkes Booth may not be the story that we are told. Did Lincoln’s assassin die in that infamous barn standoff, or is it possible that he escaped and lived out the rest of his days in Texas and Oklahoma under a pseudonym? Was he the rogue confederacy sympathizer that we are led to believe or was he part of a larger conspiracy set up to remove Lincoln from office?

While many are all too familiar with the trope of “drinking the Kool-Aid”, a large number of people do not know the origins behind this meme. Enter one Jim Jones; the incredibly charismatic leader of The People’s Temple and most notably known for leading more than 900 people to their deaths via self-ingesting cyanide. Originally from rural Indiana, Jones was always seen as an “odd” child who was unnervingly fascinated with religion and death. In the early 1950s Jones began touring from church to church as a self-ordained minister, gathering people’s interest with a seemingly positive message of tolerance and brotherly love. During an era of tension and unrest, it is easy to see why people eagerly began to follow. Early on, Jones held random jobs to earn money for his church (He even was a door to door monkey salesman. Yes, you read that right; door to door monkey sales) but as his congregation quickly grew, so did his financial backing. This eventually led to the mass migration of The People’s Temple to the South American nation of Guyana where a promise of a perfect utopian society was soon to welcome the members. Quickly gaining scrutiny for increasingly stranger practices and messages, members of the group attempted to leave and sadly met their demise at the hands of the cult’s armed guards. Possibly in an attempt to eliminate any opportunity for imprisonment or prosecution, Jones convinced his followers that they were soon to meet their similar fate by the hand of “tyrannical government.” This prompted the November 19 1978 mass murder/suicide that is now so commonly known. Now how does this fall into the conspiracy umbrella? Many question the ease of Jones’ movement from country to country and the acquisition of both large parcels of land and sums of money. Additionally, many of Jones’ characteristics and noted personality traits mirror many of those that are related to victims of the MK Ultra program ran by the CIA. Was Jones a MK Ultra experiment gone awry or was he simply a narcissist that got in too deep and needed a quick way out?

1997: Tiger Woods has exploded onto the golf scene, Kate Winslet promised to never let go, and The Spice Girls had everyone wanting to be a “Wannabe”. While most of us easily remember spicing up our lives while being kings of the world, one event seems to slip out of memory; one that lit up the night’s sky and fooled a group into believing that a heavenly transport was not far behind. On March 26, 1997 officials in San Diego made the gruesome discovery of 39 members of the Heaven’s Gate cult that had taken their own lives. Arranged neatly in their bunks, the uniformly dressed members took a cocktail of phenobarbital, apple sauce, and vodka whilst affixing plastic bags around their heads. This was done so that the members’ souls would be able to escape their Earthly confines and would be able to board the UFO that was hidden within the tail of the Hale-Bopp comet that passed closely by Earth that year. Strangely enough, their website is still functioning to this day.
